We have just spent 2 months in Goa, went back to meet up with old fiends. Have to say only seen one Indian guy on the beach with "Brown underkegs"

Maybe they have stopped selling them now eh.

But they are stil having the "Party" in the trees behind the beach, This was next to Anri's Shack on Sunset Beach Betal Bati. They had a full music system running of a massive truck battery. Pots and pans. Boxes of Kingfisher. Boxes of Royal Signature and Honybee. They were singing and dancing and had a great time. There was two big buses parked on the road to the beach.

We went back next morning and you should have seen the mess they left behind. One poor old lady with a stick and a straw basket trying to clear it all up. Crazy Crazy.

This is what pisses me off - love Vagator - but go at the weekend and it is like this, nobody minds people partying having BBQ's but take your litter home, especially the bottles, and DONT SMASH THEM. - rant over.

(have you noticed these "parties" consist of 99.9% men!)

We were there in that area in January/Feb, only groups we saw were apparently students, wearing anoraks with hoods!! but they took their empty beer bottles back to the shack.

How to educate regarding; 'be responsible for your own litter and take it home' I don't know. It is a 'blindness' that is across some of all age and social groups. I have even seen women risking their lives at the open doors of fast trains throwing their food boxes out.
On Karwar beach a council official introduced animal shaped litter bins, he did a lot of good things in general, so naturally was moved elsewhere!! now the bins have gone also.

We were there up until mid January & Sunday was the worst day of the week to be on Sunset beach - those bloody "ghetto blaster" things with the repetitive thumping base did my brains in - I wanted to go stick a screwdriver through the speaker cones.

The busier Anri's shack was, the wait for food got twice as long - still the Kingfisher was cold & "reasonably" priced for a shack.

We went to Martins Corner without booking a table, so the only one's vacant were near the loud speaker----agony.

But I think we tried all the shacks walking towards Colva direction and some were playing at least reasonable film music and even found myself enjoying some Russian 'pop', (or maybe it was the result of the gin!!!).

Mmmm! Martin's Corner karaoke night is something to behold. . . . . . . . . . .

Did you try the 1st shack (reasonable walk) after Anri's? Baggies Rest - West Bromwich Albion fan heritage I guess. In the same stretch is "Little Palm" - only shack/restaurant in Goa to ever give me what I think was food poisoning.

Looking at the online weather, both the day & night time temperatures appear reasonable in Goa at the moment.

I have heard news of a 5.2 magnitude earthquake in New Delhi... Anyone else know anything?

Minor damage and no-one injured.

Experiencing a minor earthquake is not a nice experience!
Happened to me a couple of years ago in Penang on the 15 th floor of a shopping mall having lunch in McDonalds!

Apparently it has caused £4 million pound in improvements

6.0 on the Richter scale and it would have looked like Old Dehli.

Or perhaps it was caused by the government in Delhi jumping up and down, once they found out how much the Goan MLA's have spent bribing the locals to vote for them
