Thank you Newtons!
I had an hour or so to waste in Candolim a few days back!
Delfino`s 1st stop as not been before....suitably impressed.
Back to Newtons(just to waste time)!
found a whole frozen Quail for 60rs....just had it for dinner!
Absolutely delicious, had it marinading in Honey bee all day ,roasted it with assorted veg and added some port wine to the pan made gravy ,a few Brussels Sprouts just finished it off!!!!!Delicious.
The packs of 4 wholemeal rolls from Delfinos for 35rs are beautiful and topped off with some Buffalo pepperoni from newtons ,with cheese and grilled are totally awesome!

We have just spent 2 months in Goa, went back to meet up with old fiends. Have to say only seen one Indian guy on the beach with "Brown underkegs"
Maybe they have stopped selling them now eh.
But they are stil having the "Party" in the trees behind the beach, This was next to Anri's Shack on Sunset Beach Betal Bati. They had a full music system running of a massive truck battery. Pots and pans. Boxes of Kingfisher. Boxes of Royal Signature and Honybee. They were singing and dancing and had a great time. There was two big buses parked on the road to the beach.
We went back next morning and you should have seen the mess they left behind. One poor old lady with a stick and a straw basket trying to clear it all up. Crazy Crazy.

How to educate regarding; 'be responsible for your own litter and take it home' I don't know. It is a 'blindness' that is across some of all age and social groups. I have even seen women risking their lives at the open doors of fast trains throwing their food boxes out.
On Karwar beach a council official introduced animal shaped litter bins, he did a lot of good things in general, so naturally was moved elsewhere!! now the bins have gone also.

We were there up until mid January & Sunday was the worst day of the week to be on Sunset beach - those bloody "ghetto blaster" things with the repetitive thumping base did my brains in - I wanted to go stick a screwdriver through the speaker cones.
The busier Anri's shack was, the wait for food got twice as long - still the Kingfisher was cold & "reasonably" priced for a shack.

But I think we tried all the shacks walking towards Colva direction and some were playing at least reasonable film music and even found myself enjoying some Russian 'pop', (or maybe it was the result of the gin!!!).

We went to Martins Corner without booking a table, so the only one's vacant were near the loud speaker----agony.

Did you try the 1st shack (reasonable walk) after Anri's? Baggies Rest - West Bromwich Albion fan heritage I guess. In the same stretch is "Little Palm" - only shack/restaurant in Goa to ever give me what I think was food poisoning.
Looking at the online weather, both the day & night time temperatures appear reasonable in Goa at the moment.

I have heard news of a 5.2 magnitude earthquake in New Delhi... Anyone else know anything?
#1359
Experiencing a minor earthquake is not a nice experience!
Happened to me a couple of years ago in Penang on the 15 th floor of a shopping mall having lunch in McDonalds!

6.0 on the Richter scale and it would have looked like Old Dehli.

Well it's a dry day in Goa today - all day - so people aren't all out winein' & dinein' - so why so quiet on the forums today? Everyone gone home?
