Goa is doomed !!!

Hi All,
I came across this article writen by a Goan Photographer and Documentary Film Maker called Ryan Lobo........it is very sobering and he draws stark contrasts between the Goa he once knew and the Goa of today.
I must admit that i agree with his prognosis but have a read at it and see what you think yourselves.

Hi All,
Overdevelopment, overflowing sewage from septic tanks, rubbish everywhere, traffic congestion and pollution, contaminated water, political corruption and termoil...........is Goa really one of the most 'developed' states in India?........or has overdevelopment and poor infrastructure doomed the Goa we love to the history books?
Whats your take on this?
Are things improving or are they getting worse?
Post your views and nightmare experiences here.......

Acron is one of the best builders in North Goa and their reputation is beyond repute. I have seen a lot of their finished developments and have to admit their buildings are finished to the highest quality so no problems there.....but please be advised that Non Resident Foreign Nationals can not legally purchase/own property in Goa. If however you are of Indian origin and have either an Indian passport, PIO Card or Overseas Citizenship of India then you can legally purchase and should have no real problems in doing so.
Hope this helps,

Hi Remy many thanks for the quick response . I am a PIO and hence should be able to buy freehold in Goa . nice to have the reassurance about Acron - have you actually bought through them and if so did you check out the paperwork through a lawyer or did not see the need for it?
Thanks 7 regards

I bought an apartment about 3 years ago but not through Acron. I cant afford one of Acrons although i wish i could.....their developments were outside my budget. Having said that if i had the money i would certainly have no quarrels about purchasing from them. I think they have their own legal advisors on hand to deal with the sale.
The only fault i have had with Acron is the way they were selling their properties to Foreign Nationals without letting them know of the pitfalls but thats another story.
Being a PIO is a big advantage but ensure you have a PIO Card or OCI as this will simplify the registering process for your deeds.
Regards,
Remy

Douglas,
Tell us all, did you buy land which was in a portugeuse family name? or have you got some kind of criminal record/, because we are all living here happily at the moment, so why is it only you who has been thrown out of India?.
Don't take this personally but i am just interested why it was only you who has been thrown out. We all have problems here but we are still here and living in peace.

Goa's ok - nice to look at and the beaches are handy for the pubs. Got some hassle from a ladyboy and more when I gave him a slap!!
Everyone is taking advantage- the visitors and the residents and who cares but this stuff about people going on a 2 week holiday then buying a pad (well paying for one) is just idiotic.
Do I remember right that I saw a Monarch plane there when I last visited?
