Goa is doomed !!!
 

Hi All,

Overdevelopment, overflowing sewage from septic tanks, rubbish everywhere, traffic congestion and pollution, contaminated water, political corruption and termoil...........is Goa really one of the most 'developed' states in India?........or has overdevelopment and poor infrastructure doomed the Goa we love to the history books?

Whats your take on this?

Are things improving or are they getting worse?

Having a bad day?
Rubbish, congestion and pollution are definite signs of modernisation and improvement.
What they need is Ken (Thieving Git ) to be Mayor of Goa he will charge everybody money for everything all in the name of a brighter, cleaner future and prosperity for all those who vote for him(so he should fit into the political scene easily) also employing thousands of people to go round fining people for whatever he has decided he doesn't approve of. He could set up Transport for Goa, LEZs, Congestion zones,a Goan Eye, and bid for the Olympics which the rest of India would have to pay for, like in England.
He will then use that money as he has in London, not sure how, it still looks the same, but he has spent millions of pounds to get it that way.
Funnily enough I was talking with a PIO friend about Goa, he agrees with us, the problem is that none of them (Indians) want to pay taxes or utility bills, so not enough money goes into the system for improvements or better wages, so all the government higher ups have to sell jobs to the lower downs to get by and bribes have to be given to get anything done so that the lower downs can afford to be in the job that they can't do in the first place and had to buy from a higher up.
Not having been to any other Indian state I can't make a comparison, but from documentaries etc it would appear that modernisation only occurrs around the rich or politically powerful. The bright lights and posh places are not normally found in housing estates or tower blocks or country villages.
Places like Goa will change, hopefully for the betterment of all but I doubt it, while political leaders are busy feathering their own nests the normal people will continue to suffer from floods, droughts, electricity cuts, poor roads, bad rail systems, congestion and pollution. AND that's only in the UK:lol:

Blue is ok, its sort of royal and then there is the sky as you say, but purple reminds me of varicose veins or childbirth or haemorrhoids.

When i go into the bathroom in the morning its not the sort of thing i want to be reminded of. Beige would be better for that time of the day, more sort of earthy and neutral and nondescript.

Then we could maybe combine the two to signify heaven and earth, beige tiles down below and blue sparkly ones on top.

I shall never be able to look at purple tiles again without
squirming and shuffling, thanks for the everlasting vision. Anyway
nearly got rid of the buggers, dosent look like Im smuggling sandpaper
through customs anymore.
