oHeraldo picking up on the political connections wth land sales to Russians - "The government doesn’t look to be serious on the issue of sale of land to foreigners as many political leaders have personal interest in the same, sources said."
(ToI have previously suggested that the 400 cases passed to the DofE were a smokescreen to obscure the above situation).

This just goes to show why there is no russian mafia in Goa (earlier article link was posted to) they bought the property with their ill gotten gains probably in cash then left the country!

Default Jade Jagger

Here's the link to an article in today's Sunday times:

http://property.timesonline.co.uk/to...cle6844215.ece

Here's a short extract from the article:

The family divides its time between London, Ibiza and now Goa, where Jagger recently bought a “very remote, simple” cottage on the beach.

I wonder if Jade has gone down the 'company route' or if she's just put the 'simple cottage' in the name of a trustworthy local - unless she had an X visa without the 180 day restriction, in which case she might be trying to GO down the residency route. . . . . . . . . . . . Oh what joy awaits her if she tries to register the sale

Don't know for a fact but think it is likely that she probably has a lot of her expensive products made very cheaply in factories she probably owns or has an interest in in India so is already in business out there.

I wonder if they travel on a business visa

I wonder if they have jumped through hoops and been given the the run around to get the company set up.

I wonder if they have been dooped and lied to by advocates, accountants.

I wonder if their money went through proper banking channels, they have the deeds.

I wonder if they are being investigated by the D of E

EXACTLY! Injustice - that's what f**ks me off, it must be the communist/socialist in me!

What to do? lease & worry about the renewal? sale agreement & worry about the integrity of the builder? business route & worry about tax returns, annual accounts etc? business route: register the deeds & then be 'identifiable' & run the risk of investigation?

It's doing my head in, it really is. . . . . . . .

Yep!! and you have only just started,
It costs about £350 a year to keep your company ticking over.
After you have jumping through hoops to get Pan numbers, DINs number, RBI approval and increasing your share capital in the business which costs a Lakh.£1300
Then you get told you still can't have your deeds because the register is closed to Foreigners and Foreign Directors of Indian companies, Oh!!!! forgot to mention as well because your white. It's a vicious circle Hemingway.Take your pick all option are a road to no where believe me,I'm still licking my wound from the torment we have gone through to get this far
Welcome my friend, the choice is yours.

Oh no, it ain't getting me down - I'm an awkward ba***rd & I like a row/argument/fight/batle - it's just that Jade Jagger will never have a worry or a care in the world about property ownership in Goa, cos her dad is 'owd rubber lips' Mick & she's got a few quid - some pigs are more equal than others & all that - whilst the rest of us mere mortals worry about the future of our investments. . . . . . . . .

No Noffi tonight for me - just a couple of pints of San Miguel & a few glasses of a nice dry rosé - work tomorrow early doors innit. . . . . . . . .

It aint the socialist in You. It's your adherence to Edmund Burke .... the rule of law, with a foundation of a civil civic society. In the present circumstance, better to be a freemason, mafia member or straight up no-good.
