Children Walking Tall Update
5 July: From CWT. After completion of our original licence, we were recommended an extension by the Govt. District Inspection Team... 15 months later after two more clear inspections and considerable effort chasing the Director of Women & Child we received notice the licence had not been granted. We continue to work in the slums and are appealing against this decision which shows no interest for the children who now have little shelter against the monsoon rains. Thank you to everyone who has shouted out in our support. For full text, 402 words and updates go to http://www.childrenwalkingtall.com/Appeal.htm

If you go on the Children Walking Tall website you can donate any amount of cash. If you just give £1 it all helps and the money gets spent on the children and not in the pockets like the other so called charity. It wouldnt surprise me if it was the other charity <and i say that word loosely > is behind this closure.
Good luck to Robert he does excellent work in Goa.

You read my thoughts imho they(the other charity) has always been against CWT as it took away some of sponors after people found out different things about them and not all good.
Again good luck Rob and keep up the good work those kids need you !!!

Hiya Poppetjay , its Pat. I hope every one will donate something as we know he does good work there. I have met other people that have worked free for the other "Charity " and after a few days they have all left .

I worked on and off at Mango House and enjoyed every single minute of it the smiles of the kids were enough to make me keep going back.
And you know where the money is going, unlike the other charity feathering their own nests, bigger houses for themselves, gifts that have been donated never seen again and the list goes on and on, I have had many conversations with volunteers that worked there and came away so disappointed with the whole set up and alot more happened that I'm not willing to disscuss openly.
So if we cant help Rob its a poor show, I may not like living in Goa anymore but cant see this wonderful home close.

well the thing is its all true and people can see for themselves as I did, ive seen the big offices and a meet a man who used to be an office boy then suddenly a "pastor" hows that!!!! who lived in a room now has a four bedroomed house ???? and had a push bike now a huge car????
ive meet people who have donated PC's and gone back 6 months later not a PC in sight, the guy asked why the children werent using the PCs no reply.
Ive met a goan woman who's son stays there and has sponors, yet he has a perfectly capable mother and a home ? not an orphane.

She saw a vision to con people thats all sorry no time for crap like this if you are gonna help kids and take peoples money you cant be taking that amount of money for yourself.
10%for the kids 90% for her and her pastor!!!
and the charity commission couldnt find a thing wrong, think they were looking in the wrong set of books!!!

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

I thought she was taking 99% for her self and justifys it by saying if it wasnt for her they wouldnt get the 1%. And this walking the so called poor children up the beach make me sick to watch because the 2 weekers are so stupid and bring to Goa so much stuff for this well known scam of a business .
