Russian Consul General speaks on the Russian-Goa connection

23 Sep: Herald. Consul General of the Russian Federation, Alexey Novikov, speaks to Vibha Verma on the Russia-Goa connection… Today, Russians top the list of foreign tourists coming to Goa in terms of numbers. We expect more than 70,000 Russians to visit Goa, this year. To our great satisfaction we are witnessing increasingly tolerant, understanding and well-wishing attitude of Goan authorities towards Russian citizens… Need for a Russian Orthodox parish priest to be based in Goa.

The DM is being predictably xenophobic about this - the fact that these people are Muslims is completely irrelevant. They are in exactly the same position as the thousands of non-Muslim single mothers who have kids by various fathers (without the sanction of any religion) and claim state benefits. They are all exploiting the system.
Also I don't think it would be accepted by most people if the UK were to recognise polygamous marriages for Muslims.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a news source that you could absolutely guarentee had no bias and was accurate in its reporting.

Degrees rather than absolutes.

The DM is far enough to one edge that it shouldn't be considered a news source, and its writers certainly don't qualify for the accolade of journalist. Entertainment and entertainers would be my verdict.

I agree - way too many people are abusing the system by producing numerous kids to different fathers, then when the fathers don't pay up they are dependent on benefits. This is not a trait exclusive to Muslims by any means.

I remember a spell when many girls got pregnant deliberately young in order to get a council flat and benefits as soon as they left school. In fact a school in Portsmouth was reported as teaching kids this philosophy !

I also knew of several females who were prolific criminals that would have a baby every couple of years because they found it often meant they escaped prison sentences.
I have personally born witness to many such cases of both the above scenarios during the last two decades.

The worst scam I ever witnessed was one family where there were 17 adults - the parents, their two sons and two daughters, and the sons' numerous wives. There was also quite a lot of children of various ages.
All of the females (14 of them) had various forms of ID showing different names - which were all different formations of their real names and dates of birth. They also claimed to be living in seperate flats at the houses they lived in. This had enabled all the women to make multiple benefit claims using these altered names, as they had even managed to get medical and social security numbers in every one of their names. Each of the females was receiving at least £2500 per month in benefits, which did include rent as their 'rent' was being paid to the parents of this family who claimed to be the 'landlord' of the premises.
This family owned two neighbouring enormous 5 -6 storey houses in London which they owned outright. They had in excess of £40,000 lying around the houses in cash, plus flash vehicles and top end designer clothes in abundance.
This family entered the UK many years ago claiming asylum - they had no funds when they entered. None of them have ever worked..... and none of them were prosecuted as it was deemed 'not in the public interest'.

Clearly this is one of many occasions when no checks were done on the claiming of benefits - hardly any wonder this country is in such dire debt !

BBC? So many people believe they are the paragons of journalism.
I recall being asked by the BBC to feature in their programme Panarama. I refused because they wanted me to blatantly lie !!!

I also believe that certain females/males/couples time "getting pregnant" again to coincide with avoiding having to look for work when the previous "offspring" is due to reach a certain age meaning that at least the so called mother would need to look for work/be available for work.

A bloody disgrace & iI'd bet that the major perpetrators of this crime would be WHITE BRITISH!

England/Britain is abolutely brilliant at apathy - I don't think we'd even see a street protest if the government banned apathy!

Happy Sunday!

A few more drinks, then bed & up at 5:10am for back to work on Monday.

Regards

H.

CE/BCE usage by students using Wikipedia is sometimes cited as the reason behind the founding of Conservpaedia, a site that almost makes the DM look half normal.
