BRITISH TOURIST ATTACKED IN GOA.

Fiona MacKeown fears phone hackers

14 Jul: North Devon Journal (UK). Fiona MacKeown, mother of Scarlett Keeling, the teenager murdered in Goa, believes she may be a victim of the News of the World phone hacking… She has been talking to Scotland Yard … she remembered her phone playing up when she returned from India…

Oh dear there goes Fiona McKEOWN wanting another 15 minutes of fame ! This woman should just go away from the public eye and get a job.

Don't get me wrong, I have alll the sympathy for Scarlett who lost her life and I think the manner in which the investigation was distorted in Goa was appalling. Unfortunately I struggle with the self pitying dramatics of this woman who left her daughter in the care of a 31 year old known violent drug dealer.

Got news for you Fiona ... your phone probably more likely played up 'cos you didn't pay your bill !

Dread - x

He is quite right, we very rarely eat in Indian restaurants in the UK because the food is so bad. We have in the last two months found two Indian restaurants where the menu looked different to the usual so ate in them and were pleasantly surprised. One was in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, the other was an Indian 'tapas' bar in Bedford.

Here in Derby, with its massive concentration of Asians, the food from Indian restaurants and takeaways is total cr@p.

However, "Mumtaz" brand curries sold by ASDA are truly excellent, so the takeaways can keep their overpriced rubbish.

Strangely, the Chinese takeaways are excellent and inexpensive??

Well worth reading.........interesting to see the Goans in Swin-jim (estimated to be well in excess of 50,000) are keeping up the traditions of their compatriots back home (are the any left?)

The well tried principles of petty jealousies, bickering, illiterate political thugs and innocents murdered are obviously alive and well......

Interesting to read the comments at the end too, loads of them moaning but just like at home, doing nothing!

Yes, very few actual Indians run Indian restaurants - I think the split must be along the lines of 50% run by Pakistanis, 40% run by Bangladeshis & the remaining 10% run by Indians - although I might be a country mile wide of the Mark.
