Seems to me you're all a load of tight arsed bastards who don't want to spend anything. Bet you all look for the cheapest fish curry rice and cheapest dal fry.

Today, I bought just over 2kg piggy leg from nice Mr Fernando in Margao for Rs. 150kg. Roast pork tomorrow. Just finished yesterday's beef stew with a Haywards 5000 (Rs50). Now consuming some camembert with a glass of Port Wine 1000 Gold, Rs200. They do an ordinary one at around Rs100 which I can't really tell the difference. Don't know if I'll bother with the Gold again. Also been testing Grover La Reserve (red), which won a best wine prize last year. Quite nice, smooth Rs500.
Small Kingfisher,Tuborg Rs40 or less for me
. Large Kingfisher Rs70/80. Shack allocations are Monday, subject to shack owner association riots etc........
Beach side restaurant bars are up and running or painting etc.
Let's get ready to rock 'n' roll!

As for the shack allocation, it seems to be descending into farce again this year. I read about the government deciding to restrict the number of shacks on certain beaches this season. Our local beach at Betalbatim was mentioned - which will be interesting as there is only one shack at Sunset beach & only four or five at Betalbatim beach proper.

p.s. - I don't consider myself a "tight arsed bastard" in any respect but I do like value for money, I dislike being overcharged & I hate the prospect of being ripped off.

Hayward types do have a place in Majorda. You've probably seen him in action.
There are usually 8 shacks on Majorda. I haven't heard if that's affected. Don't know about Anri's. The Miccky is in jail, so I don't know if he'll be giving any permissions. The South shack owners (SOWS) are kicking up about allocations and reductions and threatening to delay everything. Cut off yer.......
We shall see on Monday.
Sorry, forgot, beer is 8% but it's not chewy. OK for 1 or 2 sitting in watching football.

Beer wise, enjoying some Old Crafty Hen - reduced from £2.79 per bottle to 4 for a fiver at Tesco - 6.5% & very nice it is too.

p.s. - did you know Wally Shuff, the Scottish guy who was killed by a speeding driver.

I didn't know him but I'm told I'd know him if I saw him.
Didn't know Anri's well. Agnel at Sunshine looked very bad. He's gone down hill very quickly. Gates are closed now but the story was that ZeeBop were interested. He did tell me they were looking when I saw him about 3/4 weeks ago. Don't think he's got long. Very nice geezer.

The distillery is more famous than the brewery and their father was famous for telling Morarji Desai (Indian PM famous for urine therapy) that at least they had one thing in common - they were both well known for consuming their own product (Splendid!)
