Hi Normski very interesting.
Typical though, they all want to avoid taxes, FNs want to pay them and can't.

Hi normski,

Thank you for taking all that trouble to post the link, the last one did work.

I was sort of aware of this proposal, but nice to see it in writing.

It is only a proposal though as i understand it, introduced to stop stamp duty evasion. I have seen many proposals that havnt come to fruition, such as traffic lights in panjim and even smart driving licences. Bizarre proposals to the western mind, considering indians dont even know how to drive.

Assuming this ban on POA is introduced , there would still be a window of opportunity for TDK to sell under this system. Having said that, if it becomes widely used in goa, there could even be local legislation to prevent it.

My advice to FNs continues to be if your not already in dont and if you are already in get out .

regards
douglas

Mornining Douglas - There are now traffic lights in Panjim - not that the locals take much notice - and also Zebra crossings in Candolim - still waiting for a holiday maker to think the traffic will stop for them.

OMG Zebra crossings! Remember when they put the white lines on the road, the taxi guys told me they were there so that Tourists would know where to walk:lol: Hope they are near the Hospital.

Hi Noni.

Traffic lights in panjim! I didnt realise i had been away so long.

Riding my bike across one of those junctions in panjim was like being in a motorcycle display team, you know where they criss cross at lightning speed.

Difference is, motorcycle display teams rehearse and its supposed to happen.

Here in this part of malaysia, they respect zebra crossings and cars will even stop on a normal part of the road to let you cross.
