Was a wonderful day out and a great pleasure meeting everyone. You are all as nice as I imagined, even Lol (world's biggest misanthrope) had fun!! Can't wait for the next one and am looking forward to seeing the photos.

Weren't we lucky the weather was sooooooo hot and sunny? And fancy the Marquis inviting us all in for aperatifs! Good job TF1 were there to catch it all on film, especially when Le Chant fell in the moat...

It was great to meet everyone, and have such a laugh:thumbsup:
I will let the official photographer, M. Le Chant post, but thought this one turned out quite well - showed what a civilised bunch we all are:rofl:
Just off to sort out my sunburn, my nose is peeling already:eek:
Hope Le Chant dried out okay - nothing shrunk - those poor geese got more than they bargained for:rofl:

Well, here's the moat I fell in!

A shot of Val's pied a terre in Normandy....

My favourite shot of the afternoon. The sunlight was just right coming through a window close by.

More in the morning, got to go to bed now!

Re: Meet up

Well I suppose if you had to fall in a moat that was as good as any. The mind boggles as to what you were doing - your knight in shining azrmour impressions? Can't imagine Val letting down her long golden locks like Rapunzel. Maybe that's why you fell and no, of course you weren't drunk:rofl: Your photo intrigues, Val. Now I'm trying to match faces with names. could that be Päula Jayne on the left? And who is that fellow on the right whose face looks vaguely familiar?
I've just come back from the local village open air meal and firework display - excellent for such a small village. I've left the bright young things to dance the night away. My friend got flooded the day before yesterday when a hailstorm defeated a blocked drain outside and all the water rushed down his drive into the sous-sol. so yesterday was spent clearing the brown sludge (fortunately not sewage) from 10cm of water and I'm shattered. It looked really odd seeing the leaves of the Indian bean tree with holes where the hailstones had just broken straight through.
Good night. Sweet dreams after all your adventures

The pots were nice....

This staircase was stunning!

And on the way home (back to the SUNNY Loire), we spotted this by the side of the road. Magnificent!

Absolutely beautiful pics Le Chant. Your favourite one is now my favourite one, that light is just so perfect. The stairs came out rather well, they look better in a photo, more clean somehow, isn't that strange?!
