The Chateau looks lovely - good picture ops there - although there'll be noone on the pictures cos everyone will want to get a picture - lol and a picnik sounds perfect - especially if this weather holds up - can you verify the Bouch cos my mappy comes up with loads - dont want to be sat at the wrong one :confused:

There should be some train stations in the nearby big towns. I've worked out it's about 2 and a half hours roughly for us, but I think Le Chant is at least an hour south of us - may be quite a drive for them.

is it really that far for you? If so then we maybe need to look again.
When I used viamichelin last night I was trying to work out a venue so no-one had more than a 90 minute drive or so. I thought you were close to Laval, which says it's 96 kms to Bouce (about 90 mins)

Val! You are right! :thumbsup: That site is great, says 1hr 55, and gives a great route. Thanks for that. Suits me then, just have to wait and see what Le Chant reckons.

Just been checking it all out on the michelin bouce is 258km from me - so even on train ( although cant seem to find a station) think its gonna be too far for a round trip with the little one :cry_smile::cry_smile::cry_smile:

I just looked on the map at your area, are you in the Chatillon east of Tours? if you are, then that is quite a way indeed.

Seems to me, Laval, Rennes, Angers or even Mayenne may be the way to go after all. Where is Novo coming from?

Pj - Where can you get to on a one hour train journey? That will give us more of an idea of places to work on.

Val - I know you're oop north, but where? How far is Mayenne etc for you?

Stu - Any preferences?

I personally don't mind. We have a full-on weekend next week what with stuff we've got hapenning here on Friday, then changeovers on Sat'day. Sat'day night sees us at the Avoine Blues Festival to see John Mayall live. So, Sunday we'll be shattered after taking the bread delivery at 8am too. But, we'll be ok to drive for a couple of hours tops to get to wherever.

PJ - we may be able to pick you up from a station en route?

Angers is around a 45 min drive from us, Le Mans is about an hour. Mayenne about 2 hours. I'm easy, as they say. But don't tell the missus! ;)

Plus, if we're allowed to wear frocks, can I have a matching handbag? :confused:

PS - Novo & Tres, we should co-ordinate, as we wouldn't want to clash?

Yes im in that Chatillon - - i can travel longer than an hour thats ok but i wouldn't be able to get to bouce and back in a day cos of changes and such - it takes an hour to get to paris on train cos theres a direct train from st pierre des corps but not sure about anywhere else its the only place ive been lol
i'd have to get the train from st pierre or blois - as they have major lines
from my local station i can only get to tours, or vierzon lol
