Never heard of IGA, A&P/Dominion/Metro, Costco is a bulk buying store which you have to pay to join and M&M is a meat shop (not such a pull for vegetarians like myself )

A lot of those stores are franchise operations. The two IGA stores local to me are owned and run by the same family.

Yes, you do have to pay to join Costco. It's well worth it.

Those are stores that sell food in and around Waterloo ON. I offer them to counter your suggestion that Loblaws has a monopoly (I assume of food sales). I can't help it if you limit yourself to a subset of the human diet; surely you don't think Loblaws controls the distribution of carrots, lentils and stomach gas remedies in Ontario.

The only thing wrong with Canada is the cold weather. But even then I would rather be covered in snow than have London's weather. I like the cold, but there isn't a warm place in Canada to visit during winter. Damn Americans grabbed all the good land.

Mexico, Cuba, Dominican <--- all great places to visit if you want to get shot, kidnapped or robbed when you leave the resort.

Yes but the selection and pricing is better than any store I've been in UK... mainly the selection.... it's funny to see LCBO have a better selection of English ales than an average TESCO and Sainsbury's

tesco express may only have 3 british ales with stella and carlsburg filling most of the space... which are brewed in the uk now lol

Don't be silly. A can of beer in the LCBO is $2.60.

You suggested the US had grabbed the BEST not the safest land.

A bottle of Hobgoblin is £1.59... that's a crazy price in $ and it's Local, they didn't have to ship it overseas... insane!

Like with like, Becks is $2.60 at the LCBO, 8 for seven pounds at Sainsburys. A little over half the price in the UK. Ontario is not a good place for the beer drinker.
