What's wrong with Canada?
#316
Oh yeah I nearly forgot.
5. Not being able to drink in public. However, I think this is probably one of the reasons why Canada is a safe place. It works so they should keep it that way. Just have to get used to it. It was a bit weird watching the Vacouver fireworks, new years eve in toronto and watching the St Paddies day parade in Montreal with out having a drink in my hand.

TV is crap compared to the UK
I have seen such a comment on many posts on this site. Could someone please enlighten me as to why Canadian TV content is considered crap compared to UK TV content?

In the UK more air time is devoted to content than to advertising.

A PVR is an essential tool for Canadian TV watching.

Even the adverts are better in the UK - there is at least more variety. If you gonna have to spend time watching mindless friggin adverts then the hell is compounded by CBC's prediliction for running the same ad twice, back to back in the ad break.

I've only spent a year in Canada but here are a few annoyances for me, in no particular order.
1. TV is crap compared to the UK (but it's easy find something else to do other than watch TV).
2. Having to tip Bar people for pulling a pint! It's your job! The landlords should pay a proper wages so they didn't rely on their tips. One bar lady from Montreal threw ice at someone because they didn't tip enough when I was there!
3. The bacon is horrible, it's all streaky stuff with no actual meat just fat.
4. The way the Canadians insist on saying "You're welcome" after each "thank you." But us Brits say Thank you far too much! It's not really an annoyance it's quite funny actually.
5. Canadians are lovely lovely people but they don't understand banter. I missed the British humour when I was there.

I should have guessed, the trailer does feature some lipstick lezzing.

Here are a couple more:
They don't know how to serve beer at anything other than close to freezing, even if it tastes better at cellar temperature.
Small town politics is corrupt and nobody says/does anything.
Oh yeah. And there are too many Christians.

Are you inferring that there is no small town political corruption in the UK....in one particular local council I am familiar in the UK, the amount of nepotism and what most people would consider as a conflict of interest was mind boggling.

only if you eat it daily in vast quantities and are stupid enough to buy it.
Or maybe you mean the USA or UK Chip Shops
