Personally I have to say that when I found out that I could claim the UK pension back in the 70's I didn't give indexing a thought, in fact I was quite pleased that I would get any pension at all. The 2022.28 pounds per year we receive is better than none at all.
Over the last 14 years the exchange rate has been the biggest problem. At one time it was good at $2.25 to the pound unlike the $1.75 we are seeing today. Thats over a $1000/year difference.
