that does sound more positive and i'm glad Where abouts did you buy your new place? Hubby comes through Beaumont daily on his way to Nisku, and I always thought it looked beautiful, though have never stopped to see what its really like there.

And so here we are again. been in our new home for a week, and now we are back down to two. Our daughter came home from YAC's after having been assesed and has gone again. They diagnosed her as having RAD,Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,ODD as well as the Borderline Personality Disorder Traits.
If ever there was a kid more @ risk then it's our daughter, yet here we are again with the child services saying that when she is picked up, they will assess the situation to see if she is in any danger or taking drugs. Really.
I said to them that they got a court order before because she was a danger to herself what with the association of known drug dealers and traffickers so what do they think is going to happen. I really don't know what planet these people are on ,but it's not this one.

We're all doomed, doomed i tell ya.

Read on:

An Ottawa 'airport ticket agent' offers some examples of 'WHY' our country is in trouble!

1.I had a New Brunswick member of parliament ask for an aisle seat so that her hair wouldn't get messed up by being near the window. (On an airplane!)

2. I got a call from a Manitoba legislature staffer, who wanted to go to Cape Town. I started to explain the length of the flight and the passport information, and then he interrupted me with, ''I'm not trying to make you look stupid, but Cape Town is in Massachusetts ..''
Without trying to make him look stupid, I calmly explained, ''Cape Cod is in Massachusetts , Cape Town is in South Africa ..''
His response -- click..

3. A senior B.C. deputy-minister called, furious about a Florida package we did. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando .... He said he was expecting an ocean-view room. I tried to explain that's not possible, since Orlando is in the middle of the state.
He replied, 'Don't lie to me!, I looked on the map, and Florida is a very THIN state!!'' (OMG)

4. I got a call from a federal minister's wife who asked, ''Is it possible to see Russia from Canada ?''
I said, ''No.''
She said, ''But they look so close on the map'' (OMG, again!)

5. An aide for a cabinet member once called and asked if he could rent a car in Dallas ... I pulled up the reservation and noticed he had only a 1-hour layover in Dallas .... When I asked him why he wanted to rent a car, he said, ''I heard Dallas was a big airport, and we will need a car to drive between gates to save time.'' (Aghhhh)

6. A Calgary council member called last week. She needed to know how it was possible that her flight from Calgary left at 8:30 a.m.., and got to Vancouver at 8:33 a.m.
I explained that Alberta was an hour ahead of B.C. , but she couldn't understand the concept of time zones. Finally, I told her the plane went fast, and she bought that.

7. A Québec MP, called and asked, ''Do airlines put your physical description on your bag so they know whose luggage belongs to whom?'' I said, 'No, why do you ask?'
He replied, ''Well, when I checked in with the airline, they put a tag on my luggage that said (FAT), and I'm overweight. I think that's very rude!''
After putting him on hold for a minute, while I looked into it. (I was dying laughing). I came back and explained the city code for Fresno , Ca. is FAT (Fresno Air Terminal), and the airline was just putting a destination tag on his luggage..

8. A Senator from Saskatchewan called to inquire about a trip package to Hawaii . After going over all the cost info, she asked, ''Would it be cheaper to fly to California and then take the train to Hawaii ?''

9. I just got off the phone with a rookie MPP from Ontario who asked, ''How do I know which plane to get on?''
I asked him what exactly he meant, to which he replied, ''I was told my flight number is 823, but none of these planes have numbers on them.''

10 A senator called and said, ''I need to fly to Pepsi-Cola , Florida . Do I have to get on one of those little computer planes?''
I asked if she meant fly to Pensacola and fly on a commuter plane.
She said, ''Yeah, whatever, smarty!''

11 A senior federal government official called and had a question about the documents she needed in order to fly to China . After a lengthy discussion about passports, I reminded her that she needed a visa. "Oh, no I don't. I've been to China many times and never had to have one of those.''
I double checked and sure enough, her stay required a visa. When I told her this she said, ''Look, I've been to China four times and every time they have accepted my American Express!''

12 A Newfoundland & Labrador minister called to make reservations, ''I want to go from St John's to Rhino, New York ....''
I was at a loss for words. Finally, I said, ''Are you sure that's the name of the town?''
'Yes, what flights do you have?'' replied the man.
After some searching, I came back with, ''I'm sorry, sir, I've looked up every airport code in the country and can't find a rhino anywhere."
''The man retorted, ''Oh, don't be silly! Everyone knows where it is. Check your map!''
So I scoured a map of the state of New York and finally offered, ''You don't mean Buffalo , do you?''
The reply? ''Whatever! I knew it was a big animal.''

Now you know why the Government is in the shape it's in!
Could ANYONE be this DUMB?
YES, THEY WALK AMONG US, ARE IN POLITICS, AND THEY CONTINUE TO BREED.
I don't write it, I just offer it for your consideration. Like manure, you just gotta spread it around.

And now the gloves are coming off. I have tried to work with Child Services but even when faced with a vulnerable teen who could have died, all they can offer is " we have to hope something makes a difference".
Our daughter could have died on Wednesday night and yet still child services will not do anything.
She left us 2 months ago when we moved to our new home and is currently living with some couple in their 40's.We do not know these people. Also living with them is the girl who our daughter ended up with last year, the former prostitute.
Child Services ,after many objections on my part, are willing to leave our daughter with these people. People who have had no checks. As adoptive parents ourselves we had months of background checks and had to jump through all sorts of hoops. Yet our daughter can turn up on their doorstep and Child Services are completely 0k. They did some police background checks and some Child Checks and i have just their word for that.
I now find out that she has been taking drugs, alchohol and has had her tongue pierced. On Wednesday night our daughter phones us and tells us she has been in a car accident in which the vehicle rolled 3 times and the Police say ne one should have walked away from. Our daughter sustained head trauma as well as her back ,stomach and left arm.
One girl who was in the car sustained a leg injury which was bleeding heavily.
They phoned the people our daughter is staying with from the scene of the accident. Did these people contact emergency services as soon as they found outNo Did they phone the police.NoWhy,because the girl who was driving (the former prostitute) only had a provisional licence (no one had a full licence). Some passers by had picked the girls up from the scene of the accident and were outside a Petro Canada service station waiting for this woman to pick them up and take them to a hospital in Edmonton.Really. I drove to where they were and took our daughter to the Wetaskiwin Hospital as she was complaining of head pain.
I called the police from the Hospital.
These are the so called responsible people that Child Services deemed responsible enough to leave our daughter with.
And yet they still say there's nothing they can do but hope. Well the hoping part should be left to us because i certainly don't expect the people i pay my taxes to to be running their dept on hope.
There is no point where Child Services will step in. Having shown beyond all reasonable doubt that whatever we or they do to convince her she needs help and that she has shown that is not going to happen.
She has to die or end up seriously maimed or something and still their philosophy is "we have to hope"
My argument to them is if the outcome is the same result with or without the Child Services dept, what is the point of them being there. What exactly are they being paid for.A 14 month old baby has died because of their ineptness this year and yet no lessons are learned here.
I made enquiries with regards to legal action and was told that they were not taking on anymore cases against Child Services. What does that tell you.
So now all i have left is the media and that hopefully happens on the 11th.
I cannot begin to express how pissed i am.

So i've contacted the news.It seems that i can't reveal our story because of Child Protection Laws. Sat here waiting for the producers to contact us to see if we can go ahead. I have a politician organised to speak with us outside the legislature (Harry Chase). Makes no difference.
There must be away round this.
Also i'm told that it has to be visual.
I hope that someone out there who has followed this and has a teen with mental health issues, they know what they are going to come up against when asking for help from Child Services .

Because they still have a problem with their beloved daughter, but, that problem would be just as bad, if not, worse, somewhere else, and they can't and won't find a solution easily elsewhere. 'They' should try their best to realise that their child is never going to be happy or get a quick fix from Canada's magic wand or anybody else's. That being said a move to Canada certainly would not have helped things. As a family, without your daughter in the mix Murphys how is life going?
