It's snowing heavily in Maple Ridge too. Though as I'm on the side of a mountain it quite often it snows here when it's raining in the valley. Even where your FIL lives can be below the snow line while we're above it.

It's probably not going to last though - shame, as I've just got the winter tyres on last week and driving on snow is great.

Still coming down and more forecast for this weekend with sub-zero temperatures (but only just, os not as impressive as Jings).

After that it just looks damp.

Mind you, the 14 day forecast is about as accurate as one of those spin-the-arrow games, so it is anybody's guess what it will actually be like this weekend or even later tonight.

I have heard that bladder seaweed is more reliable....

The novelty will last longer than the snow. The snow's great, it's the brown shit that follows shortly afterwards over here that's hideous.

In the City you get the dirty slush, it is true; I assume (hope!!) that is what you are referring to.
If not, I am getting a MUCH sturdier umbrella.....

Out here in farming country though, I am sure it will be enduringly dove-white, deep, crisp and sparkly, just like on the cards.........

Update on this - the snow is still falling and settling on the grass and the trees and it is a sparkling winter wonderland out there at the moment!

The effect of Flash photography is absolutely beautiful, even if the photos do not turn out so well.
