Generally I think all booze is way more in Ontario, I mentioned Pride only because it amused me that it was the exact same price.

Yes that is true, but more often than not Tescos or Asda will have one of their popular beers on offer most weeks - Stella, Carlsberg, Becks etc....and Carling is always cheap, however I wouldnt expect anyone to drink that horrible insipid chav stuff!
I sont think the difference is so noticeable in the LCBO, as for a start you dont have to leave a tip! but $7 +tip for a pint in a pub....is way more expensive than the UK.

And as for domestic draught prices they can be a fair bit cheaper, you can buy Corrs lite and Canadian on draught at $5-5.50 a pint, but then thats like drinking the Canadian equivalent if Carling! not good!

Yes, I think you can pick out certain examples where some beers are more resonably priced, in the LCBO and suprisingly like you say the imports!

That doesn't surprise me - I've got used to the price of dairy here, Cracker Barrell is really cheap when it goes on offer (in the KW area anyway) but I find that is only really good for cooking. My family bring cheese from the UK over for me cos I miss it so much ... I will try the Balderson's as a Christmas treat

Its good with left over Christmas dinner, but you have to let it get to room temperature before you eat it.

I think Balderson's is no better than ok. There are lots of quality cheddars though at the St. Lawrence Market.
