It's messed up or me because I have accepted this job and foolishly I have never even been to NA or Canada. The Uni are giving me residence for a year in digs but I know sod all - it's bonkers. I bought a book today on Toronto and sat looking at it thinking "shit - it looks like a friggin monster of a place"
I'm crapping myself just flying over there - haven't a clue where I am going when I land. Just got a letter with some vague details and hoping a cabby can get me to my location.

She loved U of T.
Enjoy the experience! You'll no doubt meet loads of great people! There's lots of younger and well educated people in TO.

haha i think the OP's question is fair.... but more importantly... what about us convicts from Australia? How would we go as opposed those from the mother country
All I've got going for me is a horrible bogan accent and being hung like a horse
hahaha, may be not...

Just 'cos your ancestor was hanged for a horse doesn't mean you need to bear centuries of guilt!

Seriously, though - there's loads of Aussies in Calgary. They survive!
