Hi,
I'm moving to Toronto as a skilled worker in a few weeks. I'm 27 and have always been pretty good with the ladies IMHO but my GF of some 5 years very recently decided that she will not be joining me (due to her ill Dad) and we've decided to go our separate ways which means I am young free and single. This leaves me with the prospect that I am most likely going to find my next lady (my wife even) in Canada. Can anybody give me a heads up? Do they like British men or will I be seen as an immigrant? How does one pull a Canadian girl? WHat strengths should I play to - what should I avoid? How do they differ from English ladies? Any experiences you want to share - good or bad - would be very much appreciated. Truth is that I am freaked out about going there alone now but still intend to. But, like most guys, I am better when I am all loved up than when I am all on my Sweeny Todd. I like the idea of an exotic foreign bird and I do OK with women but I was wondering if anyoine could give us a few tips or some advice. Cheers

LOL well we're not all thick as f*** and I have degrees from Cambridge and Manchester - but yes, I agree we are all really just retards underneath this thin veneer. My 5 year relationship fizzled out rather than blew out, and I was heartbroken, but we're good mates now and moving on so I dont see the point in dwelling on feelings in this topic (hey that's another forum - this is about Canada right?).
Please don't give me such incredibly sensible advice such as "all women are the same - ebony and ivory etc" - I need an illiusion of some sort - one based on actualities or at least well meant lies!
Anybody with experience of dating in Canada?

here's a serious answer .... they'll likely think your accent is "cute" - after that it's up to you!

could have put it in a better way - "I'm good with the ladies IMHO"
