It seems to me that Oakville's rather an ethnic ghetto, inhabited by the sort of people who write to the papers and sign themselves "appalled". Tunbridge Wells; uprooted and plonked down in a foreign land.

For many years I was obliged to attend ballet recitals there, we'd sneak out to the patio of a restaurant and boggle at the uniformity of the people; it's another world from Toronto. I expect eventually they'll make the whole place a gated preserve.

As a property owner in Oakville, I can report that the Chair of my condo association definately appears to have come from Tunbridge Wells.

Oakville is very conservative, but having said that, it's still a great place to live....
