For me vegetarianism is the thin end of the wedge. Why kill plants as well. It's just as murderous as killing animals. You are still ending the life of an organism to extend your own. I think there's something to this. I eat a mostly vegetarian diet but when I get the chance I eat salmon. I LOVE salmon. I have gone fishing, caught salmon, clubbed it, gutted it and eaten it and its roe raw, right there in the boat. I feel have a good relationship with salmon. I could not do the same to a cow or pig or cat so I don't eat beef, pork or special fried rice. Same goes with a lot of other beasts.
