[QUOTE=SirTainly]Timezones make things tricky. Especially as my day ends when I leave work at 6pm, after that I'm travelling for 2 hours, then home, quick meal odd jobs and bed at 10. Will be expect to work additional hours before Xmas, don't know where I'll find them, might have to work weekends.

So you have to travel 4 hours to get to a job everyday? Perhaps it's time to think about moving closer to work?

Flattery will get you everywhere.

Special people, err that sounds elitist! I'll go with the common man.

Well, common man, common computer....that's what makes a Mac so unique

True, plus a pretty rough ride since uni. Still I can lose weight, and once I've got a new hat the hair thig is less of an issue. Beside bald men are sexy..think Patrick Stewart and Telly Savalas.

Well, I can be a "stress eater" as well. I seem to go either way...either eat because of stress or not eat at all. I'm 5'4" and 105 pounds and I gained 5 pounds alone over Halloween from those stupid mars bars I kept in the freezer.

mmm...bald men don't really do much for me personally....but it seems to be the latest rag.

I've given up there, they're all too picky. I just have to find one with low standards and a guide dog with a low alcohol tolerance!

You're the second man on this forum that has given me this line, yet when I see a picture, there is absolutely wrong with them. Think perhaps your being a little too hard on yourself? You can't give up at 25 - y ou hve your entire live ahead of you.

Was never good at biology, and not fit enough for the marines ! Plus I'd be unemployed as I'm about 50 miles from the coast!

You know of course a marine biologist has nothing to do with the marines. We all have special talents. Mine is biology. I couldn't build or fix a computer if my life depended on it.

When it suits us

Yea, that's the excuse my husband uses as well, would be nice to see it sooner than later.......

I can't afford to, to make any appreciable dent in the travelling I'd be looking at a £150,000 flat. Seems rather silly to sell my house to buy something smaller that costs a lot more.

foiled again!!

Somebody else is using my line??? I'm calling my solicitor....
Please remember that photo is almost 5 years old now, and when it was taken I was probably the fittest I'd ever been in my life. Most of the photos taken since are too accurate to be shown on a public forum, unless it was one about whaling!

You know of course a marine biologist has nothing to do with the marines. We all have special talents. Mine is biology. I couldn't build or fix a computer if my life depended on it.
Actually I don't really have a talent for any one thing in particular, I just seem to be reasonable at a lot of things. Sometimes it's a plus to be an all rounder, other times you feel left behind by the specialists.

Yea, that's the excuse my husband uses as well, would be nice to see it sooner than later.......
You have to make it worth his while !

Going to try really hard not to screw this up, but the message on Mac sometimes looks different than the message that ends up on the forum.

Personally, I couldn't imagine travelling 4 hours a day for a job. My husband and I are very lucky I guess to be able to work from home. Understand your logic though....as long as you don't mind driving.

Well, there are always "hair plants" hehehe

Excuses, excuses about that photo. That's just the standard line I hear from men who can't understand and/or cope with womanly wiles...

I'm a very left brain thinker, so am very good at some things and terrible at others. Math and science aren't my forte at all. Couldn't have picked a worse field to be interested in.

My husband keeps telling me that I have to make it worth his while. Well, he's gone for a few days, and although he promised me he would turn over my compost heap and add the lime - was it done - no!!!!! - typical man - always needs to be supervised to get something done. Just wait till he gets home, I'll make it worth his while, but not in the way he thinks.

I notice often the closing quote tag is missing [ / quote] without the space.

as long as you don't mind driving.
That's a quarter, half is train travel, the rest is a mix of underground trains and foot.

Well, there are always "hair plants" hehehe
not for me, I'll just buy a hat

Excuses, excuses about that photo.
No alas it's true. If you really don't believe me PM me and I'll send you a recent photo, but it's not going up here...I don't want Greenpeace rushing over trying to keep my damp while they try to push me back into the sea!

I'm a very left brain thinker, .... Couldn't have picked a worse field to be interested in.
I chose the one that paid the best at the time, must have been thinking with my wallet!

Tell him what to do or how to do it..never both

[QUOTE
Yes, a good friend of mine that frequents the forum - sent me explicit instructions about leaving a message - I do it and it looks ok on the preview but sometimes doesn't end up looking that way.

My Mac has been acting funny ever since I installed Norton anti-virus anyway. Getting alot of system failures but only when I try to access the forum. This morning I got a note that one of the messages in one of the threads may be contaminated and not to open it. Finally was able to and no problem. Where is my new notebook

God, I'm glad I work from home. Not a big city girl this one.

Well, we wouldn't want a tidal wave now would we?

Sure I would like to see a picture - and I'll try to find one of myself. But I think it's going to end up as with the other fellow who sent me a picture - a nice looking man.

For me, I couldn't imagine sitting behind a desk all day. I have this inherent desire to be outdoors in some way or another. Obviously thinking with my heart and love instead of my wallet - no big bucks being a biologist, unless we're working on a consulting job.

Actually, I was trying to do it myself - but the soil is just too heavy for me. He butted in and told me that "it was men's work...they know how to do it properly.......well, one week later and still not done. I even left him to his own devices for a couple of days to see what he would do......still nothing.

Gee.....a temper tantrum. Not bad - but my 3 year old can do better than that. Come on, let it all go so I can feel the full force of that Scottish charm

ps - I'm sorry I spelt your name wrong (really). Sometimes I'm just in such a hurry or have a kid on my lap that I don't bother to check my messages.

What it means is exactly what I said. These software engineers that can't appreciate Macs' don't know the finer things of life.

Being married, you must know how unpredictable women can be.....enough said....

Yes Willmore you are correct, being married can be like a roller coaster of unpredictability.

One minute her indoors is talking to you and the next, well who knows, only you women know what goes on in the grey matter, the thing all you women call an intelligent brain !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could go on and on about how the female species think they wear the trousers in the house, but deep down, us men will always be the spear chuckers and the trouser wearers !!!!!!!!

Enough said

Yes, that's true.....we women will always need men around to do the heavy and dirty work around the house and in the yard.

I give up....."her indoors talking to you"?
