Hi
We have a shotgun and a 2.2 rifle we want to bring over from NZ (sentimental so we really want to keep them). Does anyone know the easiest route to import and if we can carry them with us?
Appreciate any replies.
Many Thanks

Nunchaku sticks (a.k.a. Liang Ji Gun/ Ee Cheol Bong/ Nisetsuken)
27. Any instrument or device commonly known as “nunchaku†being hard non-flexible sticks, clubs, pipes, or rods linked by a length or lengths of rope, cord, wire or chain, and any similar instrument or device. The definition of “nunchaku†also includes Sanjiegun (or Three-Section- Staff) or any other similar device. On the other hand, “training nunchakus†(these are nunchakus that are light, flexible and covered in foam or any other soft material or fabric) are not considered prohibited weapons.
Apart from Martial Arts training what other purpose does a Nunchaku stick have or offer in a persons daily life?
Do you cook or clean with them, do they assist in your driving abilities, can you wear them out to dinner etc etc
Seriously what purpose do they have?

I think I offer a bit more use than a Nunchaku
But if you want to get personal what do you offer besides being critical of others or just me in particular
Yes I get you dont like some of my posts but no need to comment you can just ignore them.

Why so aggressive? All I asked was what was the history behind banning them? As you point out yourself, they have a legitimate use in martial arts training and it seems odd to ban something that can be so easily constructed from a couple of pieces of wood and some string. I have a baseball bat at home which is a lot easier to hit people with than a pair of nunchakus (much less likely to end up breaking your own knuckles with it) and it too doesn't help with me with the housework or driving yet, somehow, it's still legal.
. The primary purpose of a baseball bat is to hit a ball.

He's a pawn of the state. Such people don't want the citizens armed - even if it's only with nunchukas.
There are innocent reasons to have these, if you want to do bruce lee style exhibitions etc. This law makes no sense at all, given that criminals will just use something else instead.

You can make the same argument with samurai swords. They're a weapon designed specifically to kill people. But what is their primary purpose now? Martial arts training and as ornaments.
Bottom line is it's a ridiculous law that someone probably dreamt up in the 70's when it was "cool" to have nunchakus.

What's with this nunchakus? Isn't it nunchukas - when I was a kid it was pronounced nun-chuck-ah, not this nun-chak-oo nonsense.
Bloody weeaboo's (well the chinese version) spoiling it for the rest of us.
