Re: Houses in Canada
I got very wound up by the Idiots on here who seem to find it amusing to pick on me and the colour of my vehicle.
I paid my membership thinking this was supposed to be a freindly forum but unfortunately there seem to be some members on here that ruin it for everyone else. Yes we are all entited to our opinions with regards to how people dress, look, what house they have, car they drive, how they act. but we normally have respect and keep our opinions to ourselves unless we are asked for our opinion.
I felt insulted and so did my OH. We have got a bad impression from this Forum and we are not happy. I have had PM's from concerned members and I would like to take the time to thank them for there concern over this.
I was bought up to respect people for who they are! I think I deserve the same respect!!
It always amazes me how people can have the nerve to insult people just because they are sat behind a keyboard! What may not be an insult to you may be an insult to another!!
Like I said I thought this was suppossed to be a freindly forum not a bitching one.
Do your worst on my post now! Lets see just how immature some of you really are now!
Andy

Premium membership just kills the popups and gets you a larger avatar, there is no special treatment otherwise.

If you have a problem, report it to the mods (the ! button). I've been here a long time, and pouring more fuel on the flames seldom helps. Like a conversation in a pub, there are many different characters here, some you will like, some you wont, but leave any agro up to the bouncers

I did report a post but it did not get deleted. I did put a reason why.
Well I would imagine there are so many posts that the so called boucers (which I have been in the past) have not got time to watch all posts.
Also in a Pub unless someone has been drinking too much, they would not be so rude as to voice an opinion about someone out loud. They would have more respect. Especially face to face.
So the question is have I wasted my money or have this just been a bad start for me here?

I've thought about premium membership a couple of times just to show support for a website I use a lot. One of the two things that stops me is that it says in big fat letters next to your avatar that you've done so.

Funny you should mention that! on some other forums I am on, you can have a custom message there and it deletes the premuim message. Thats why I put " Canada here I come" but it did not work!

This forum can be whiney and negative, however mostly it is helpful, informative and supportive, I have been on both ends, but could not have got through the immigration process without it, as they say rough with the smooth.

For any offense caused, I apologise. However, if you were in a pub within a group banging on about your Vette, I believe you would have got the same response.

Hello hello, I am guessing this was aimed at my comment, as you quoted me earlier. Certain words are offensive to some and not to others, agreed. The word in question, in my circle, is used in jokey circumstances fairly often. So, you thought I was rude. If we had been in a pub having a conversation, you would have then heard my flippant tone, but we are on a forum, and interpretation is king. You were getting a bit precious over your car, and I had a few glasses of pop and was being amusing (obviously just to myself as it turns out) and that was all there was too it.
