I applied for citizenship in April 2013, residency questionnaire in August, letter with the discover book two weeks later, then today I received a notice to prepare for your citizenship test letter.

When others have received this letter how many months later did you receive your test date?

Has ANYONE else still not made it to their oath after applying in late 2010? Is it just us? Can't believe how quick it has been for many of you....

Yes it definitely would have slowed it, but the letter says that they will schedule an exam in the coming months. But hey that could mean 12 months or more, who knows!

I'm getting married in May in England and will be gone for 3 weeks. I'm hoping it doesn't get scheduled for around then!

Is there a place to track your application online like with PR?

Yes, it is called e-CAS.
Here's the website: www.cic.gc.ca

Select "Check citizenship application".

That's what I have been doing. I hope it is helpful.

Which CIC office processed yours?

According to e-Cas they sent the book and confirmation to me on November 12th but I have not received them so I think I should place a call.

Annoyingly their helpline number does not seem to be working? 1-888-242‑2100

Thanks! At least I now know they received everything.

Think it says somewhere to let them know if you'll be out of the country for more than 2 weeks. Unfortunately it was after we called to tell them this that a residency questionnaire arrived......

It's unlikely that you'll be called for a test that soon, but there are some cases that get processed out of order, such as Magnumpi's so you can never be sure. Are you listed as "in process" or "received" on ecas?

My application took 27 months, with is in line with the CIC estimate of 25 months for standard applications. I didn't receive an RQ, but did have to supply fingerprints, which causes a smaller delay.

Where did you apply from? I am from Nova Scotia been waiting 2 years to get my Residency Questionaire processed.
