The whole psychology of serial killers is fascinating - they all have such different reasons for what they have done, and trying to get inside their mninds is an intriguing exercise.
Nasty pair these two - Countess Elizabeth Báthory is one who intrigues me, also Gilles de Rais, believed to be the original Bluebeard.

Women can multi-task so should be better at murder, evidence clean up and body disposal all at the same time...
He brings to mind his female counterpart aalthoughnowhere as prolific Beverly Allit and she was quite young at 25 when caught so she could have inflicted quite a lot more misery if she hadn't been sussed as early on.

Jeffrey Dahmer drilled holes into the heads of his all-male victims and poured in various acids in an attempt to create "sex zombies". These experiments failed and later became lunch.

One of his victims was Sharon Tate who was tortured and murdered while eight months pregnant. He has stated on several occasions that he has killed several people.
