4 hands up in my house for BURGER RINGS!!!
they taste like roast beef monster munch before they improved the flavor and made them yukkie!!(why do they do that??)

fruit and veg is great here, have to keep a close eye on the prices tho!!

When we first arrived & I was having a nice long holiday living at the marina in Tin Can Bay I did a trip or two on local prawn trawlers, not to mention a couple on the crab boats.
Having seen first hand how hard the life is I don't mind paying the extra for fresh local seafood. It's my number one fine food discovery
Number two is Redclaw fresh from the farm up the road from us yum

That is the best way....unfortunately Tiger Prawn farming is making catching wild prawns a dying trade.

There are less prawn trawlers on the Brisbane river nowadays.

They're 2 for a $1 up here, the guy just down the road sells organic Kensington Pride for a $1 each though & they are fantastic tasting ones.

Must be the transport costs to Brisbane then

I prefer the Kensington pride.....those are the ones we buy.

Thanks to Grayling for hijacking the post and creating a debate on the fishing industry of Australia. :curse:

Quite impressive how people take time to query whether the fish at Sydney markets are from Sydney waters? or do you ask for a written guarantee receipt with each prawn?

I prefer to sit on the harbour with my jaffa cakes!
