For all the complaints, he did win the election with his strategy and tactics- better to be the dealer than the players ! And his antics now certainly distracting the media from more serious issues and potential scandal issues- so maybe there is a method to his madness.

Of the people I voted for Trump seemed some just hated Clinton, some just desperate for change in their economic circumstances, or sick of political correctness- I think most just held their nose and voted for him. Though I suspect most now seeing even his basic policy positions he wont be successful in implementing him.

I do think creeping dementia is a distinct possibility. Considering his fight with the deep state, both Republicans and Democrats in Congress, how does he have time to do such silly videos ? Is there any mechanism to force a medical evaluation ?

CNN has been against Trump form the beginning, but both CNN and NY Times just playing into his hands now. They are letting Trump develop the narrative and responding almost on cue to his antics.

What if Trump was right and CNN was just a fake news outlet ...... what if?

And what if it wasn't. What if it turned out most of what they've written is factual? This fake news shit naffs me off no end. All media outlets twist the facts to suit,always have, always will. Just because someone doesn't like their spin or how something is written does not make the entire publication/station fake.

It's a stupid argument. Quoting an outlet and being put down because someone else doesn't like it is one thing, shouting 'fake news' is another and it's dumb.

That's the way arguments go nowadays though, there are a handful of buzz words that have been latched onto by both sides to instantly discredit your opponent. Racist, Islamophobe, Lefty, Far right Nazi, Fake news, the list goes on. Both sides do it, and because of the resulting lack of real debate, bugger all gets done, people turn to extremes, and the country turns to shit.

All because no-one likes admitting they might be wrong

People have considered, is he some Machiavellian genius, playing 43 dimensional chess? However, he's stuffed up so massively, and made such a tit of himself, that most people now agree that, yes, he is that much of an idiot as he appears - and so are his supporters. As I said before, he won because people are stupid.

Which is all very well except

a) there was amply evidence ahead of the election that he was a corrupt and dangerous idiot, in the lap of the russians, and

b) by now there is no debate as to how traitorous, how corrupt, and how destructive he is. For anyone that erroneously voted for the prat then, there is no excuse to still be supporting him now.

Amendment 25, which is getting seriously talked about.

However, the attention now isn't on the buffoon, but the failure of the GOP as a whole to take responsibility and remove the whole sorry mess. It's their role, and they are once again failing.

Can you impeach and jail and entire political party?

So far it is all fake news. It comes and then it dies a death. They have been trying to trip him up for a long time now and its failed so far. And with that record, maybe CNN and the other clowns aren't the bible you think they are.

The problem is there is a segment of the population that has disassociated from reality. You can point to the evidence, data, even video of the orange one contradicting himself from 5 seconds earlier - they will still trot out those asinine 'fake news' shouts to try and cover up that they are wrong.

Some of these seriously do think that fact is debatable, that if they scream loud enough they will somehow magically become right. Loudness in place of thought.

Personally I think in decades to come trump will be seen as a symptom of a mass mental breakdown. I think they are suffering for a severe case of 'future shock', where the world not only changes too fast for them to keep up, but the reality challenges their entire worldview, and rather than contemplating and changing, they rage against reality. Obsolete viewpoints are trotted out as fact, the view is resolutely backward at the past, and a weak manbaby is seen as no threat to their own mental stability (even if he's pretty obviously suited to the funny farm).

I'm not sure how we get out of this, it might mean that they have to be jettisoned, but it's already obvious that we aren't going to go forward with them in any position of power - and given the known threats coming over the horizon, moving forward is non-negotiable.

You could at least address me. Oh I forgot, when you can't sell an idea to someone, you stop addressing them.

At the end of the day, Trump is still there, not impeached, not insane despite all the non factual information you have been throwing around care of you one sided journalist choices.

I don't support Trump, but I am a big supporter of fact and honesty, something your choice of journalism is not.

I think many of the opponents of Trump have a time grasping that his supporters are just so fed up they don't care about his problems. I mean really his behavior getting to the point how could anyone not suspect he is getting dementia.
