Morpeth. Surely you're being unnecessarily skeptical. There are several contributors to this thread who have direct links with observers on the ground - observers who have actually identified the planes and their pilots. I for one am confident that those contributors are not simply sheep, relying on mainstream-media organs pumping out propaganda 24/7.

Depends what you class as damage. If its a message to say "have a look what 59 tomahawks can do if you keep using chemical weapons".

I think Trump got played again by the media on this. I think this was a heart felt decision based on the babies and children he saw on TV. He said as much and I genuinely believe that. Had this got no international media airplay, nothing would have been done.

Obviously she saw the media coverage. When I said 'no media report to quote' it quite clearly meant I had no proof to confirm what was, as I said, just an opinion.

What's more alarming is what has been missed in the past, what hasn't been filmed, what hasn't sent the world into a frenzy.

Trump decided to send the world into a new media frenzy with an expensive (you know how much a tomahawk costs?), yet largely non lethal pyrotechnics display at a Syrian military base with the purpose of discouraging further uses of chemical weapons and part purpose of sending a message of force and distraction from his domestic policies.

I try not to close my mind to any report from whatever agency. You don't like someone's version, that's fine, it doesn't make you smarter than anyone else, you're just possibly missing out on a fact or two you don't know. Not bothered either way, we all have our opinions, one is no better than another no matter how patronising one tries to be.
