Good movie on Netflix that is about the US but much applies to the current state of Australia too.

I saw that a while back, good film, lots of food for thought. Robert Reich is pretty cool.

Yeah, it did make me think differently about things. For example, business owners are not job creators, customers are as they create the demand. Business owners are working in the opposite direction as they try to minimise costs such as wages. That's only natural and makes sense. But claiming to be a job creator to receive government assistance or a lower tax rate is not fair.

But that's a conversation for another thread.

Just ordered the new Amazon Fire TV Stick:
Fire TV Stick - Official Site - Shop Now Fire TV Stick - Official Site - Shop Now

I reckon for USD19 it is worth a punt. I have an Amazon Fire TV and reckon it is the best small box media streamer available for the price. I also have a Chromecast but find it somewhat lacking

To conclude:

Demand5, once it finally works, is FULL of ads and buffers as well. Not worth the effort.

NowTV/Sky stuff is just buffer city. There is no excuse for something that buffers as much as it plays. Horribly bad, they should pay you.

On Amazon Prime last night I watched a promising pilot episode of a sci-fi/end of world show called The After

The pilot is not new but the main series is not going to be out until next year

Series 2 of The Fall, starring that uber-MILF Gillian Anderson, starts on BBC iplayer next year. A great show, easily as good as Happy Valley or Broadchurch

Have you managed to get BBC iplayer on it?

The need to use static DNS puts me off Chromecast somewhat

What does everyone think of the new iPlayer interface?

It's a big change on the Roku, I was hoping the occasional buffering would go away. It did go a bit stoppy starty for a while during Intruders last night. Which BTW is worth a watch:
