I cant see it being a prob as we have proof of wages and work for last two years and have savings. Hey everyone, I'm a newbie on here!
My name is Amelia and I live in Ripon North Yorkshire. (Not far from you RachelH!) My OH was born in the UK but moved to oz when he was 16. He lived over there till 2001 when he came back to the UK. We got together in 2006 and have a 10 month old baby girl. We got our spouse visa approved in December and have our flights booked to Perth on 10th May one way. Dead excited, especialy as I have never even been there before!! Kinda scared, resasurance and new friends needed. :o Amelia  |
Re: Spouse Visa Circle - join here!
Hi all,
I'm a bit confused about the stat decs required. Would it be ok for my mum or dad to write one and for them to sign it (My mum is a teacher & they are both australian citizens) Also I have a friend who is a teacher, can she certify her own statement - or would I have to get another friend to fill out form and her to certify it. We have lots of other friends who would complete form 888 - would it be OK for the teacher to certify all these or could my mum certify them all as she is an australian teacher? There doesn't seem anywhere to say that a relation can't certify it. Also do you have to include copies of your friends passports? I've seen some people are doing this but can't see where it says to do this on the form Arghhh:curse::curse::curse: Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Must go to bed now - 1.30 on sat night still filling out forms! Never mind in a years time I may be sitting outside beside a pool drinking my castlemaine 4X:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: do you actually still get it? Boags beer was the drink of choice ( or necessity) when I lived in tassie, but seeing my dad the morning after I'm not to sure I'll be sampling it:rofl::p:rofl: |

Nope, first time we came wife was sponsor and didn't have a job in Oz and it wasn't an issue (I ended up supporting us both), this time around wife had a job offer and started within 2 weeks of arriving. I'm looking for work now that were settled. Plus if you tell them how much (in $'s) you expect to bring over it can also show that you can support yourselves.

Hi all,
I've been reading this forum and thread for a while. I just wanted to say thank you all for your help, there is so much useful information here! I'm going to send my application for an interdependency visa next week before we go on holiday. I thought I'd post what I'm including in my application incase I've forgot something and as a helpful resource for other applicants. My medical and X-ray was sent in December. Applicant: British Citizen. Sponsor: Australian Citizen. Contents (1) Forms
(2) Evidense of Identity and Character
(3) Financial Aspects
(4) The Nature of the Household
(5) Social Context of the Relationship and Nature of Commitment

Re: Spouse Visa Circle - join here!
Hi,
I am a kiwi, but also aussie citizen, and lived in Sydney for 9 years. I met my now husband online while I was in OZ begining of 2003 (he was here in the UK), was just friends at first...but you know how it develops, so he came for a visit in May 03 and we decided to give it ago and he went back to the UK handed in his notice, then I joined him for a visit to meet his family and we flew back together in Aug 03. He came over on a WHV and looked and found a role for a company that would sponser him. Unfortunately that lead to certain people in that company treating him really badly which coloured his view on Australia and living here. We decided to come to the UK in 2004, but due to dogs etc needed to go through the rabis vac/blood tests etc needed to avoid quarantine. We married in April 2005, and moved in Sept 05 to the UK when I was 20 weeks pregnant. Skip forward and I am unhappy here, and my hubby promised he would go back if i was unhappy. But he wants to give Melbourne ago as there is bad memories in Sydney - so although I really would prefer to go back to Sydney where i have friends etc as a compromise have said yes. BUT I feel guilty - knowing part of him really doesnt want to go, and that is mainly due to his parents who are not well, but I do not want to spend the rest of my life here and my unhappiness is effecting us - he said tho he would rather be in Australia with us, than in London alone. I am sure this is common in these sorts of situations. We are only just starting the process, getting our son citizen by decent, have asked friends in OZ to do Stat Decs for us on our relationship etc. Luckily I still have a few bills from OZ in both our names, and just gathering all the required stuff at the moment. Cheers |
