Also, given that Britain gave law and order, the Justice System, architecture, about 90% of the place-names and AC-DC to Australia I can't help thinking that we've been short-changed when you think that all Australia has given us in return is Weet-Bix?
What Britain stole from Australia was Lebensraum (living space), a great benefit to the British else extreme claustrophobia and enochlophobia would have seen them return to warring on each other.

After arriving in Australia, the ungrateful sods then set about pining for 'ome and, in total disregard for reality, the names of the objectives of their homing instincts was stamped on many unlike places. Thus the locatity of Loxton in the Murray Mallee to some poor suffering soul resembled Loxton in Somerset.

Shown that all the above are vital when control of population growth has been lost.

Must exist only as a mirage in some poor pining Poms mind, perhaps deranged by dehydration, because there was no Manchester apparent when I passed through the area two weeks ago.

Perhaps dreaming of a long, cool, slaking drink:

We have Bandaids and Elastoplast here.

But don't you find people call them all bandaids?

Those big bags of tasty shredded cheese sometimes look like the shredding and packing took place 6 to 12 months ago.
