Some did, most didn't. Again who cares. The private school system is a wonderful institution if one gets the opportunity and there's no reason to people from all schooling backgrounds to treat the private school system with resentment.

I wonder if Kurtley Beale, from a deprived aboriginal decent, would have had the same life without the fortunate opportunity to attend a private school.

Beale was born in Blacktown, New South Wales, and grew up at Mt Druitt in Western Sydney.[3] In his early years Kurtley played junior rugby league for Western City Tigers, Mt Druitt before converting to Rugby union.[4] He gained a scholarship to attend St Joseph's College at Hunters Hill, known as Joeys, where he played rugby for the first XV team for three years in a row. Beale was selected to represent the NSW and Australian Schoolboys rugby teams between 2004 and 2006.[5] In 2006 Beale captained both the Joey's first fifteen and the Australian Schoolboys teams,[5] and regularly attended training sessions with the NSW Waratahs from the age of 15. He signed with the Waratahs while still only a 16-year-old.[6][7] At 17, he attended his first Wallabies training camp, on the invitation of coach John Connolly

Are you trying to say that's a bad thing?

No, not a bad thing just a true thing, the evidence speaks for itself in Victorian schools - it is overwhelmingly a private school thing (where I come from).

I don't mind the truth being pointed out whichever way it falls. Rugby is so overwhelmingly a non-public school thing here.

...

Interestingly, as someone looking at schools recently it is unfortunately no where near universal. On average private schools offer more but many public schools outrank non-public schools and it is quite a challenge to decide. Have been really surprised by some of my assumptions about our local schools not being borne out in the actual stats/results.

Good. As long as we have no discrimination here.

On the flip side I don't know of any schools in Sydney that do AFL. They are probably out there and I'm sure you'll Internet me some stats on that. I just don't know any and can't be arsed interneting it.

Yes, why let facts spoil an argument, just say you can't be arsed finding out. The reverse does not hold true. "Six schools, St Patrick's, Riverview, Waverley, Trinity, Knox and Cranbrook, signed up for the AFL's inaugural Independent Schools competition this winter".

Who to support in the final?

The Wallybies or the South Pacific Mercenaries?

I don't like either team

McCaw v Pocock? Both great players. Both wankers

I guess it will have to be Australia

Go Aussie!!!

Yes. I'll be shouting for Aus in the Final : should be a good one, 2 quality teams on neutral soil : also think Aus could upset the apple cart.
