I don't come on BE as much anymore for that single reason. I see certain names now and just log off. I might answer the odd question but not nearly as much as I used to.

I tihnk people forget it is only debate. I would actually prefer to see proper debate on some topics where people actually stand by some of the rules and spirit of structured debate. It's annoying when people slag each other off just because they disagree - it sometimes does not occur to people you can still like someone you disagree with, and you can have the good manners to accept parts of someone elses point - especially if there is more common ground than hitherto realised.

A pet hate of mine is the people making an entire posting career being negative mentioning the same old stuff but never ever giving any detail. Then it turns out that they just miss Tesco and that they are rather dull after all. Respect, diversity, and all the rest of it, but I really, really, cannot take these people seriously - the sort of people whose last known challenge was passing their driving test. I wonder where they come from sometimes. I'd like to play the anthropologist and live with them for a week, (grow a beard), and observe their family. Could be a fascinating insight into a whole unknown culture.:p

Another is people saying they miss culture and standards when you only have to look at their posts to know they are one of the people responsible for diluting the gene pool, expanding the peasantry and should be banned from producing offspring.

1) People who seemingly have never heard of google.

2) People who write and spell in accents. I can't understand what you are saying normally anyway - reading it it worse and its not funny or endearing :p

3) Posters who answer a post "I don't know the answer but I'm sure someone else will". Why do that ? Did you not have something better to do today ?

4) People who cannot accept that another person likes / dislikes Australia / UK [delete as appropriate] and may have a different opinion to them. Get over yourself.

5) Anyone who uses SMS type language and spelling. Would it kill you to actually use your education and write normally. R U Fik or sumfin ?

And I would have to agree with the banter from certain posters who turn a thread into a rather rubbish version of MSN thereby killing off all hope of it ever staying vaguely on topic or interesting. Get a room :eek::rofl:
