I really hate when I take the time to answer someone's thread or send a pm with something personal & they can't be arsed to even say thanks!

I possibly do this Sallyclaire. I always forget to answer the threads I post. I read them but sometimes forget to answer...sorry! and thank you!

2. people who seem to forget that once they were newbies too
3. people who deliberately take threads off topic & into pointless dialogues with their pals (why didn't you accept my FB invite yet etc) which block original poster (often newbie / relative newbie) out
4. never-ending threads about whether UK is better than Oz or vice versa
in which people seem to get so worked up & twisted, it's frightening
Should add, I've never been newbie in question related to above points, is merely observation. I like BE a lot, sometimes it pisses me off but then it's just time to log off (and / or learn which posters not worth responding to) - overall I have got a lot out of it over time, like practical & interesting bits and pieces that have learned about by accident, also some nice lively discussion on occasion. Conclusion : not nearly enough to gripe about to make me go away
