You still want one???
Only at the stage of ringing and sending CV's.... (the stage I should've started monday, but only got to stage of ripping ads out of paper then... ) I'm lazy....
I'd be a bit more motivated if there were better jobs, and/or Pascal didn't have one yet!
Am also looking at courses etc.
animal attendant course doesn't start till january...

I'll actually be pretty happy if I get a job like this!
I'm just really confused at the moment about what I want(now and for the future). I'd love to work with animals, but there just aren't many jobs(I've seen none), and if there are, there'd be a lot of competition. And we 'have' to stay in the metropolitan area.
I want to start my own petting farm or something, but that either may not be possible(money, qualifications....) or/and it will have a lot of disadvantages anyway(having your own business, 24/7)
:scared:
(I'm not asking for answers btw, just whinging )

In an ideal world, I'd write. But without the time, talent, material or disposable income, I can't. I actually quite like what I do now (most of it), and I wouldn't mind staying in either further education or event management. Not much chance of that in Oz though.
Mr B's aim in life (since birth) is to own his own pub and I like that idea too, especially if it had a backpacker hostel or similar attached. So that's the idea.
I come from a family of self-employed people so I've seen that setting up your own business takes effort and outlay, but it is definitely possible. Give yourself a bit of time to settle back into Oz life, see where you are in a few months and then give some more thought about setting up your own business.

Either way, I want a bit of land one day, and animals, and if possible, then one day that could turn into a business...
I would've been alright, maybe, in Holland. At least I could've applied for Facilities management (assistent) jobs. Here, they don't really exist, or they're a bit different and I don't meet the requirements. Ah well, patience hey?!
I'm going to keep looking at the uni websites for student/international services jobs like the one I applied for a while back. I think that would be good. Start out admin or receptionist.... Fine by me!
Yeah, I think the backpackers would be great for you(maybe for me too)! Did you see Kala's post, and someone else on there who are now the managers of one in Bunbury!

me neither.
have been a nurse for 17 years now, im 37, and STILL dont know what i want to do! I dislike and am bored with nursing so started a law degree (but didnt finish due to having kids) which i got bored with. Thing is I get bored sooooo easily....i have wild ideas about what i want to do, then when it takes time to get to the goal I get bored and loose interest!
My ideal job would be as a travel journalist....hopping on buses/trains/planes to go cover some event. I quite like buzzing around, the not stopping in one place long enough to open the backpack. Heaven. Perhaps I should look at journalism as a career? haha...i think its too cut-throat a business for me! but who knows? Anyone have any suggestions as to a new career for me?
