Supposedly the best league outside of Europe. Not sure where the A league sits yet... Its heaps better than 8 years ago.

Light years ahead of the old NSL days when I used to go and watch Northern Spirit FC with around 100 others but still a long way to go.

This has been the first year since the old NSL days that my interest has been recaptured and the same for many others in Sydney. This year is the first time I have been to a football game in Sydney since 2005.

Will be inetersting to see if things progress next year as well.

Finals question ?

If during the second week of the finals, Say WSW lose and CCM lose, Against say MV and or Sydney/Brisbane, where will the final be. At the top placed finishers ground ?

MV would get it if they won their prelim final. If Brisbane/Sydney won that clash it would be WSW/CCM home final. 5th/6th cannot host any finals games, GF included unless the GF is 5th v 6th where 5th finisher will host. Whereas 1st/2nd/3rd/4th can host the GF

I hope the good Brisbane show up tonight! You never know with Brisbane, they can be awful one week and pretty good the next and you are never sure which one will turn up!

mostly our bad performances this season have been away from home. Our better performances have been at home.

Yay a few nights in a row watching the football with a beer in hand coming up.... Hope Brisbane win as well.

One of my mates is going to Wellington to watch MV.... should be able to hear first hand how they treat you over there.

Great match tonight!!! 10,000 larger crowd than last home game, a competitive match, a fun atmosphere, goals, really enjoyed it. Lady sitting behind us came through with a fully signed shirt for the 7yo as she knows someone. The players all signed the kids shirts and caps after the match. A really good end to the regular season.

One of the best indepndent home viewers games of the Season IMO. Really enjoyed it. Some decent quality football there as well. Score slightly flattering for Brisbane, but if Sydney can't score despite their chances then those kind of scorelines are typical end results.


The whole of the A league's set up should be commended in the way it lets the players relate to the fans. It's a very special relationship they seem to foster with the home fans, at all the clubs by the looks of things.
