I was in the Woolpack pre match for the derby and it was a great atmosphere in there, can imagine it was a good place to be last night
Will try and put in for some leave with the wife soon, whether it gets approved or not I don't knw

I on the other hand was watching it at home on Fox with my 5 year old lad, he is really getting in to it and started jumping up and down when WSW scored

The New Years Day home game was going to be his first but might have to see about taking him before then.

Yeah, they loved it. One of them hasn't shut up about scoring at Suncorp
My son was on the big screen when they did a crossover to Andy and Hinksy as they talked about the Roar Development Program and my son was the one who shouted "Come on Brisbane, Go Roar Go" into the mic

Think we were buying a scarf by then as we left home when it was still warm and were paying the price.I remember playing at Perry Park as a little kid in front of a big crowd...massive things like that stick I reckon.
I took my little fella down to the tunnel and some great young girls lifted him next to the fence in between them and helped him get his cap signed by four players. Made his night.

We got drenched too on the way and didn't pack for the rain, so i was stuck in Peninsula Power shirt

you know that you can go up to the Paddington Room at the end of the games and meet the players. Normally they send up the MOTM player and maybe one more. This is only open to members, but off memory I think you said you were.

It's so accessible to all, Theo was always fantastic in chatting with kids.
2 years back in Adelaide, Muscat shouted everyone in a pub a drink. Must have cost a fortune... but he did it. He was in the pub for a good hour chatting to people.

Dennis Wise once gave me a 300 quid tip. I served him and his mates throughout an entire afternoon bender. The tab came to 3 grand (booze only), so jokingly I said "well a 10% tip will be about 300 quid then". Sure enough he handed me the cash. I told him I was only joking and it was too much but he insisted!

Good win by WSW last night.... very physical game though. Twas great to finally have a couple of hours to sit and watch the game yesterday... as it's been full on here with the landscaping part of the reno.
Not even had time to recheck who is playing this weekend... which I might do now.
WSW have had the best start of any new club afaik.

GCU started off pretty well off memory, but yes, they are looking very solid. Loved their first goal, really well constructed.

Central Bogan Mariners 7 - 2 East Sydney FC

Great result
And as things stand the two Melbourne teams propping up the table.

Some enjoyable football this weekend thusfar, Sydney FC's problem has to be the manager surely ? The Perth V Newcastle game was full of needle.... not sure why, but interesting to watch.
Hopefully MV can fulfil their potential on Monday night, It's been frustrating watching them dominate most of the game and not score.
16K at CCM quite impressive.

Welcome to having Ange as coach. We played nice football, but sometimes it just wouldn't translate into goals. Unfortunately, the way he has them set up means you will leak goals this season an if you go a goal down, you will be victim to the park the bus tactic

This is what I really love about the A league, the fact that you can go and have a quick chat with the players after the game.

Great game last night.... Not sure whats going on at Brisbane, was that an off night or the way the club is heading ?
It's a bit like they hate the cooler conditions when they strike them.
Melbourne Heart fought really hard though and a good win from their fans point of view, probably badly needed to get the punters back through the gates.
Sydney FC v MV tonight.... Going to be a big one for both clubs. Hopefully it's a stepping stone in the right direction for MV.

Blimey, still cant believe what I witnessed last night. That has to be in my favourite top 5 results of all time. Just when I thought Sydney had devine intervention with those ridiculous saves their Goalkeeper was making, on comes a new star, straight out of the Victorian Premier League, still at University.... as my friends christened him ... "The Wog Archie"
3 goals in the last ten minutes to win 2-3 ......2 of which Andrew Nabbout scored.
