Get a grip ffs... It was a comedy sketch that you believe is in bad taste. It wasn't the reintroduction of slavery. Nobody died and nobody was lynched.

Who knows? It only ever seems to be whites that cry 'foul'. My brother and sister in law thought it was mildly funny but theyre not the blacks that you may know and like.

The act was patronising at best, racist at worst. It has been condemned all across the globe and the fact that some Australians are trying to brush it off rather than acknowledging the blunder is making them look more racist than the actual act itself

As Ive said, I did cringe thinking WTF are you doing but I think the outrage it a bit more palatable when it comes fromn black people themselves.

I asked some. I really can't understand why people can't grasp, a white man blackening his face and pretending to be black, is just wrong in this day and age.

You don't have to be black to abhor racism

I was never offended by Michael Jackson whitening his face and pretending to be white.

My brother and sister in law are black and neither were offended so far be it from me to be outraged. Oh well.

Let me just say that some black communities around the world have a lot more self pride than we are led to believe and arent as thin skinned either. Thank **** for that.
