Only yesterday I went and got my Queensland driving licence and altho I've moved home twice since my 1st (
) speeding fine, I was told it will transfer ...Along with the other one ...
121kph in a 110kph - $150 and 3 points (I asked about 10% for speedo inacuracy and the copper laughed! ...lol)
140kph in a 110kph - $250 and 4 points (no excuse)
All on for 3 years! ...

NOT proud, and certainly not clever, but both times on an empty (as good as) motorway!
I kinda hoped the moves would lose one of them, but they're linked to the UK driving licence so no getting away.
I need a 'cruise control' ...

I once got done whilst driving bk from the cinema at about 12.30am! It was a 90km zone and i set cruise control to 90'ks and as i was going down a slight dip it sped up a bit! Got done for 97k!

Yes cruise control is a blessing over here, but still think we could cruise a little higher than the present limits over here, you could almost walk to work faster which is why some of us have been caught and are not ashamed to admit it despite the 'holier than thou' element of some fellow posters.

Speeding kills, kill your speed not a child.
There are enough idiot drivers on these shores already without importing more.

If you play with cars it's obvious you are going to come off worse.

You know this dosen't even warrant an answer because its a pathetic excuse to justify speeding.

My OH just received a notice tonight - $215 and 3 points for going through a red light - 0.9 seconds too late it seems.
He (we) know it was wrong and will pay up but that amount and number of points seems a bit harsh to me! Also crapping myself because I'm pretty certain I've been a bit late through some red lights in the last couple of weeks.
Do all traffic lights have camera's on them? And how many points on your license before you're banned
We're not careless drivers, both been driving 15+ years in the UK with no penalty points.
