Glad you enjoyed it
Keep your eye out in charity shops as his books turn up sometimes when least expected

Martina Cole

Hi all,

Martina Cole has a new one out called The Family read the back cover and sounds the same the same as the last couple she wrote.
Any body read it yet and is it any good, or is it as bad as the last one, I loved her previous books.

Great read so far.

I've just finished Stephen Donaldson's "Mordant's Need" which is a two book combo. It's a HUGE read but very enjoyable - took me a few goes to get past the first few pages, but was very glad I persisted on about the 10th attempt.

Now I truly have nothing to read except maybe food packets - oh and job adverts - d'oh!

If you send me your address by PM I will send you them. And if I can't find them then I will get them second hand and maybe in hardback for you free of charge. There are always umpteen copies in my local shop.

Having discovered the joys of a kindle, I'm now re-reading a lot of children's classics - things like "Little Princess" and "Ballet Shoes" - along with some Terry Pratchett "Discworld" novels, always good for a laugh or six. Amazing how some books are still good, years on.
I've also realised that I can take a selection of books on a flight, so if one just doesn't "work" I can move onto another and not sit fuming for hours about having brought the wrong book!!

A good one for anyone with an interest in small town America and its people - or an interest in flight - Cannibal Queen by Stephen Coonts. Fantastic book with some great descriptions of flights around the US

I've done same with older books like War and Peace etc. that are free but haven't figured what are the good free new books yet. Kindle can read pdf's of books.

The one I'm after Down To A Sunless Sea is not available as an ebook on Kindle. So will have to get it in paper form like old fashioned days...
