I have been wondering if this series will be like last and go the way of the toss.

Australia will win the toss and be something like 190/1 at the end of the day after a few rain interruptions.

Just can't see right now how England can pull themselves out of the hole they are in after being smashed so soundly in Brisbane.

Maybe England can fight back somehow but my confidence is very low indeed. A good session or two from England and things might look a bit brighter, god of England have ever needed a good start to a test it is this one.

Oh je of little faith...England will win the series 2-1.This test will be a draw, just to
keep their suffering supporters on tender hooks.
JOHNSON will have along the way,1 more top game, but our batsman will get on top.
Sssssh dont say this to any ozzi, but unlike the pundits Ive always rated their
Bowlers, Siddle, Harris, Johnson are top and Lyon is very underrated.Their stats stack up far better, than Botham, Willy and co give credit for.
But good ol British 'B's , Broad , Bell, and Bresnan will be the stars.
Pieterson and Anderson will add the spice, and Root will be the quiet man, smiling
and just knocking up the runs.
Ashes will be smoking back to pome land.

Unlike this sort of bullish optimism, most Aussies, this one included, adopt a let's just wait and see what happens eh attitude. It's so easy for one to say Warner/Watson/Clarke/Haddi etc will blast huge scores on a benign pitch, Mitch/Ryan/Peter/Nathan will fire like Brissie and the Poms will continue to wilt. Talk is cheap though and I'm just looking forward to see how it pans out.

Well it's nissed it down all night - not sure how playable the pitch will be

And they are forecasting more rain today and tomorrow - although sunny and 30's at the weekend

I'll lay a small wager that they covered it.

Bullshit optimism, do you actually enjoy cricket or not???? it's called supporting your team and not being too serious about the outcome, loving them whether they win or not. You're taking knocking a ball around way too seriously mate which is why it's always way more fun watching you lose

Not sure about the Stokes and Panesar thing. Might turn out to be a master stroke but would have gone with Bresnan myself perhaps in place of Tremlett and perhaps a batsmen in for Trott whether that be Stokes. Is there going to be a lot of turn later on? Find out we guess.

Warner just gave his wicket away with that shot.

Australia should still be looking at a 600+ first innings score here. Fancy a double ton from one Aussie.

Maybe with Bresnan, they might still want to give him 1 more game to recuperate.
That or the weather this morning, took them down another root.
