Indeed, and the first Australian win in India since November 2004. Almost 13 years!

Re: The Cricket Thread
They say in England if Yorkshire is doing well, England is doing well. Same can be said for NSW and Australia.
O'Keefe's inning certainly gave Warnie a change of heart. |

Great scenes in Pune.
India's 18 test record comes to an end. India lost 20 wickets before the end of the 3rd day (so did Australia); I doubt if the toss had any bearing and it's purely conjecture but lessen the achievement if you must so you've got some 'expert analysis' on how 'we' should do better. 'O'Keefe's inning' |

20 actually, a graphic came up which said about India's last 20 tests at home which included no defeats - 17-0-3; now 17-1-3.

Yeah its cool. You don't get cricket so run with what you want.
"India, who had not lost a home Test in 20 matches since a 2012 defeat to England in Kolkata," from the Guardian so therefore incorrect. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...a-thrash-india |
Re: The Cricket Thread
Hmmm, looks like preparing a decaying dustbowl and underestimating the opposition doesn't work. That and having no clue how to use DRS.

India is the country which insisted for yonks that there be no DRS in their series home and away. Perhaps they aren't practised in in the use of it? I've always thought if you get the talisman Kohli out cheaply twice you are well on the way to beating India. It's doing that which has proved difficult for all teams as he is an exceptional batsman. Discussion points. ;) |

1 loss in 21 tests to put it in perspective. Are you referring to Smith being lbw - they'd used them up and couldn't review but maybe you are saying in hindsight they shouldn't have used up their two so they still had one?

India v Australia: Bengaluru Test: I have never seen two Aussie spinners put so much pressure on India, says Sourav Ganguly - Times of India |
Re: The Cricket Thread
Let's hope Australia can grind it out again today and get a really useful lead in the first innings. Pretty sure they don't wanna chase too big a total batting last.
150 run lead would be huge and they might even bowl India out for less than that. :fingerscrossed: |

Re: The Cricket Thread
Turning the Fox Sports back on has been worth every penny. Great cricket. Great to see Australia go on a tour prepared for once.

Re: The Cricket Thread
The head of the snake has been cut cheaply again. Kohli gone.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Pitch seems to be getting better, which is awesome, though India reckon this pitch breaks up on day 4 and 5. If it does we are screwed.
