That's quality not dull

Its a batsmans paradise out there. Ball doing nothing, coming on beautifully. Unlike Verns big spell yesterday. Aussie's still cannot play that swinging ball.

Daniel Brettig: A memo to Australia's batsmen | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

This is a sensible admonition to the Australian batsmen. Warner and Shaun Marsh excepted, although they should have stayed longer while the going was good.

That would be amazing... and a miracle perhaps, but anything can happen.

Got a bit used to T20 have we? :D

SA looking very good, bat as long as possible on a pitch with cracks as big as something I can't mention here ... They already have enough runs, even without Steyn they will skittle the Aussies.

Patience vs Patients. Looking forward to the hand-wringing aftermath. ;)

We could see a bit of T20 if/once S.A. get passed 450.

Tongue in cheek comment. Wow. I would love to see the Aussie's playing proper test match cricket and playing the swinging ball.

Part of the role for Elgar, Duminy and Faf yesterday, in 36c heat, was to grind the Aussie quicks into the ground - try and break them psychologically - send a message. Break Starc at the WACA and hopefully own him for the rest of the series

Classic test cricket

The Aussie's have to learn 2 things from that test. 2 things they should have learned from the past Ashes series in England.

1. Leave the balls that are swinging away from the stumps alone.

2. Learn to swing the ball when you bowl. Scuff it in the dirt, bounce it into the keeper. Polish the daylights out of it. See the Saffa's.

Well done to the Saffa's. Simple things done right.

Yep, they deserved the win.

Steyn gone early and they dig deep ... That's impressive.

Nice green hue on the Hobart wicket. It has to be said, the Saff's certainly know how to bowl better on a swinger than the Aussies do. Most countries do. Bowling improvement greatly needed.

It will most likely be a 3 day test match with all the rain forecast, sadly. :(
