Agree, all it does is continually draw attention to a past issue
Just get back in the team and play cricket

India favourites to go 2-1 up after day 2, pitch will do a bit (more) as time goes on.
SA vs PAK also interestingly poised.
I like dragging myself into the modern world and having pay TV, can just hop from one game to another ...
My boys the Lankans are struggling a bit though, my shirt is ready for itβs Gabba debut.

More accurate to say we don't succeed in SA and Aus, as in have never won series there. We've won multiple series in England and NZ, the last few against WI . SA and Aus are where we are yet to win a full series, primary for lack of a strong contingent of pace bowlers who can demonstrate the necessary skills and stand up for a full series.

Modern Australian test cricket is disappointing - to say the least

Re: The Cricket Thread
I don't think the Aussie batting is 'muppetry'. Players are just not able to build on starts. That's usually more a sign of lack of focus on building an innings, or the bowling sustaining pressure, or both. Really bad batting would see quick dismissals, but Aus have batted with a lot of determination, especially in the second innings.
On the same token, this is not a very strong Indian team. Despite our performance, we're been beset by crippling problems from the outset. We lost our main wicketkeeper, allrounder and best new prospect before the series even began. Lost our main spinner after 1 test. Both our primary openers were useless and were replaced at MCG by two guys with collectively 2 tests of prior experience. We have no batting past #6 . It's a miracle we're up 2-1 .

Very hard to win batting second all the time. You've really got to be the better team by a long way to win from that position, which neither team are. Tim Paine needs to improve his two up skills.
