I see from your Blog you do some camping out.
This place is recommended where they provide free firewood and encourage camp oven cooking, it is below Toowoomba.
Murphy's Creek Escape is a picturesque 50 acre camping park offering powered, non-powered and remote camping on large sites within an amazing natural bush setting. Only 1 ½ hours from Brisbane and 30 minutes to Toowoomba, camping doesn't get any better in the South East!.
Take your time to explore the area, hike into the White Mountain National Park, take a dip in the inland sandy beach, BBQ or picnic along 600m of meandering creek and rock pools, relax under the trees with a book, cook a damper and spin a yarn around your own open camp fire, or simply enjoy a beverage on the banks of Murphy's Creek

Thanks for the info. Will consider it and let the "Dept of Tourism" know. She has plans already for the next six months, though.
