Funny that, it says you're a driving instructor on your profile

You obviously went to the University of life to gain those skills hey
You clearly get off in trying to make people look stupid, you're succeeding at making yourself look stupid by making this a personal attack.

I have a BSC(Hons) Degree in Sociology as well as a MPhil in Sociology. I also taught at University to Degree level students. Personal circumstances often dictate where people work and what they do in life, of course you wouldn't know anything about my life before posting your comments. Driving tuition is something I also do, but then you've pointed that out already. I find your attitude sad. If you want to make this personal, PM me and stop bringing it into a public forum.

My name is Spalen, it has been 1 year 25 days since I last drank blood. I decided to give up drinking blood when I realised it had control of me , and I wasnt in control of it. I wont lecture anyone, but you should all consider giving it up. The 12 step programme has helped me and kept me clean for 381 days now. There isn't a day goes by that I dont think about it but my faith gets me through it.

Here's the answer:

Men who have sex with men remain the group at greatest risk of getting infected with HIV in the UK.

Throughout the 1990s, there were modest falls in the number of new HIV diagnoses among this group, except in 1996 when highly active antiretroviral therapy first became widely available and the advantages of early diagnosis became clearer.

Since 1999, the figures have steadily risen again to more than 2,000 per year. The primary cause of transmission is high risk sexual behaviour, and there are indications of rises in such behaviour in recent years. However, the introduction of clinician reporting is also likely to have contributed to recent trends.

As of the end of March 2006, 36,319 men who have sex with men have been diagnosed with HIV in the UK.

It has been estimated that, at the end of 2004, about 45% of all people living with HIV in the UK were men who had sex with men.

14 Are the answers to questions 1–13 also correct for your present and past spouse(s) and present and past sexual partner(s)? Yes/No

Note: (Please do not sign the form yet.

There are some people in the community who MUST NOT donate blood because it may transmit infections to patients who receive it.
You must complete this form if you want to donate semen. If you do not know how to answer any of the questions, please check with a nurse or medical practitioner. It is against the law to knowingly make a false or misleading statement. If you do, you may receive a $5,500 fine or 1 year in prison, or both

Well, I hope your decision isn't based entirely upon a single throw-away insult from a single idiotic Australian.

That wouldn't make much sense.

Give it a couple of years, and they'll be adding bird flu to the list.

Cheers for that Vash [mmmwwwahhhh...big sloppy Aussie kiss ]

....it helps us to understand why gay men in particular are seen as a high risk factor, but....and here's the thing....as Slaoke says...straight people can also pass HIV on in donated blood and that is why the blood is checked

So...in summary, if straight and gay people can pass it on and blood gets checked anyways, then why discriminate
