Anyone else frustrated at seeing all these requests for blood donors and not being able to help out? I've given regularly in the UK for years but British blood isn't wanted around the world

I'm not entirely sure on organ donation.

They declined me because it was too cold

I asked about that when I got my NSW driving licence - they said it was ok (either that or the person did not know what he was talking about)

btw there is an option to have it indicated on the driving licence about being an organ donor

Actually I have that too. Like you I wasn't sure whether the people in Transport were just ticking boxes or actually knew.

Ahh... welcome to my world..in the UK I couldnt give blood because of the person I sleep with. Even though we have been in a totally monogamis relationship for the past 5 years.. to much of a threat.. compared to the guy who could basically sleep his way through the UK and still be seen as a less threat?

I have a donor card, and when the time comes, I am sure the person receiving my lungs, heart (kidneys surely will have gone by then) wont give a shit if I sleep with men or come from the UK,

It might be a bit harder to lie about where I was between '80 and '96 though. But it is a thought ......

Nope.. I am a gayer... and I lie because I think its important to carry a donor card and give blood...

Well at the moment I havent donated any organs... however when the time comes, yes I will...
