I have heard that meat ants can demolish a cane toad pretty quickly.

My wife got bitten by a huge red ant at Ayers Rock and she was in pain for a week... Not sure what it was, but it was nasty.

I think there's a lot of people out there who would disagree - the vast majority of us try hard, and just get an average lifestyle. "Land of opportunity" is one of those phrases that belongs in the bin alongside "unaustralian".

Incidentally, how long have you lived here?

I think Land of opportunity is from the same era as The Lucky Country. Anyway I thought America was the land of opportunity ? Whatever it is still a strange thing to say from Lancashire :)
