Rather hope it goes to 5 days though, as I'm now free Monday so can go and watch again......

I'm hoping my usual jinx will work tomorrow - I've been up all day, now on night shift, will have to sleep all day tomorrow so will miss the days play. Going on my usual record, that should mean that England wipe the floor with Australia, just cos I shall miss it

From the BBC 606 discussion boards, ~20 hours ago:
i think england have to keep the lead below 100.
englands batsman simply aren't good enough to overcome that 9.5 times out of 10.
thankfully it's hussey and haddin at the crease as opposed to steve waugh and adam gilchrist so it's still game on for now

Clearly Australia's day, bowling largely toothless and fielding woeful at times, not good for morale. Swann looked very ordinary.
Credit to Hussey and Haddin though.
Rearguard action required chaps! If you can't save the thing then at least put up some decent resistance and head to Adelaide in a better frame of mind

I'm really annoyed about it, originally I was on day shifts Sunday and Monday, thats the only reason I didn't get a five day ticket I'm tempted to go tomorrow, but that really might be pushing it - since Wednesday afternoon I've had 12 hours sleep, so by the time I finish here tomorrow morning thats 12 in a total of 88 hours ( wish I hadn't done the maths now)'. I shall be there Monday if it goes to 5 days though

England's bowling has been far superior to Australia's. With the exception of Swann bowling long hops to get Hussey's eye in. He's tightened up now. Finn's very impressive, first time I've seen him bowling.
If Hussey and Haddin get starts this morning England will have a deficit to make up, but two wickets are all England need.
What we need is more careful batting from England in the second innings. I think in the fourth, Australia can be bowled out for less than 250, so that's what they need to aim for.

To keep the game alive Australia needs England all out before stumps tomorrow. If they're only 1-2 wickets down at tea, I reckon we'll be looking at a draw.
The pitch is cracking, which could be good news for our bowlers...

I thought England's bowling was excellent today, which makes Hussey and Haddin's achievement all the more impressive. Yes, Hussey and Haddin enjoyed plenty of luck, but it was surely their discipline that kept the partnership alive. Hussey, in particular, chose his shots
I am in no way resigned to losing The Ashes but England need to realise what is required in Australian conditions.
